I've said this before, but someone I know was on the jury of a trial where both the man and woman were drunk, and she pressed charges. The case wasn't thrown out, but it absolutely should have been.

I think that's probably common, getting a gun is weird at first. When I got mine to begin with it was a little offputting knowing something that destructive was that close at hand to the point you're less than 30 seconds away from being able to shoot yourself at all times.

Then after a while you get used to it and stop even thinking about it. It's no different from using heavy power tools, so long as you respect them you'll be ok, and it's important to learn to trust yourself.
