It makes for a nice comparison at how much his content style changed over six years, from 2017 to 2023.

One thing I hate about Dankula is that he can't just give the facts of a story/topic of a video without jutting in his own absolute dogshit opinions about it. As opposed to someone like Horror Stories who gives a full non-opinionated look at stories.

I was a little disappointed with the Andes plane crash video. As someone who read the book, it was clear Dankula and his team just skimmed the wiki article. While few small details were wrong, quite a few pretty incredible (and horrifying) details and events were left out that could have greatly improved the storytelling of the video.

Spoiler: Cannibalism and some other stuff

One thing that was wrong is Dankula said the pilots were killed instantly, while actually the pilot died and the co-pilot's chest was crushed between the seat and flight instruments. The co-pilot begged them to shoot him in the head with the pilot's gun. They refused and he was dead by morning. And for some things that were left out that I think could have been mentioned, during the avalanche the plane got filled with snow AND burred, thats how a bunch of them died, including a woman who suffocated right next to her husband, who lived. While the plane was buried they had to resort to eating "wet" freshly dead friends who they just saw die. One body was basically encased in ice for a while INSIDE the plane. Everyone there had a "job" including a group that prepared bodies for consumption, the only tool they had was a pocket knife. The diet of purely of raw meat and fat caused severe constipation. It took a lot of them weeks to shit, including one guy 5 weeks, along with very bad hemorrhoids. Some had to use sticks and stuff to get their own shit out. The lungs were the worst body part to eat, at first no one ate the lungs and there were just lungs lying around everywhere for a while. Part of the reason they had to set off when they did was because the bodies were starting to "go sour". Rotten flesh tasted like cheese, while the brain turned to liquid and was too foul to be eaten. They also wanted bodies that died in the crash, as they had more vitamins in their kidneys and livers, unlike the easily accessible bodies that died in the avalanche who had already been eating people for a while, so parties were sent out to go look for the bodies that fell out of the plane in the initial crash and brought back to the camp for consumption. They almost ran out of those. Other than cannibalism, the party that went to the tail brought back a bunch of luggage with clothes, which helped a lot. They also thought they were much closer to the coast, so when the party that left got to the top of the mountain they were expecting to see valleys, hills, farmland and ocean, but instead just saw endless snow covered mountains and were extremely sad about that. They also probably could have left a few weeks earlier if they left down the mountain the eastern side as there was a resort not too far away. Oh and lastly, there was piss, shit, human fat, and rotting bodies all around the plane so it smelled bad. They heard on the radio they were going to be rescued so they spent all day cleaning up before the rescuers with cameras arrived. I know Dankula said some of them were disappointed when they got to the mountain top but that is a bit of an understatement. They had been hyping up for weeks that that there were no more mountains on the other side of the mountain, and using that as motivation.

After rewatching the video I think Dankula does cover the main stuff pretty well. I know he can't cover everything. Guess most of this is just my attention to detail/autism. Just a little surprised so much cannibalism talk was left out.

I've noticed two things about Dankula when he talks about certain topics on the second channel.

First is that he has the tendency to say "we" when talking about American politics. I don't know if he's so sick of being Scottish that he wants to delude himself into believing he is one by doing this or if he's trying to imply "we" as in "we that uphold the same ideas and values", though that's still pretty fucking stupid since he lives in a much more authoritarian country than America, so there isn't any "we", only the Yanks and the UKoids.

Second is that he's administering copious amounts of copium when talking about Elon's Twitter takeover. He still wants to believe that Musk will keep his promise of bringing free speech to the platform, so whenever he has to admit that Elon fucked up he only says that he "kinda dropped the ball on that one" rather than straight up admitting that he lied or that he got bent by the establishment to keep his businesses afloat.

But at the same time I can understand him doing that to not admit that this is a fight that cannot be won, so he constantly tries telling himself that it's gonna be okay, because otherwise he'd feel like shit mentally.

I use to lurk his Twitter and I remember him quote tweeting an article about a "national divorce" and I think he said something like "Us right-wingers wouldn't mind splitting up the country either." My source is my hazy memory but non-Americans being emotionally invested in American politics is one of my least favourite things.

The Adpocalypse fucked over creators so hard that they literally can't go into gory details like that without getting demonitized/muting every other word. I'm sure Dankula would've loved to have talked about it (if he knew about what went on), but might not have known how to approach it without angering the Google Overlords.
