Folsom was a (literal) shitshow. Some friends went and they said the circuit parties sold out, with Real Bad demand far surpassing the ticket supply.
These made the rounds on Twitter:
I've always felt mystified by Folsom.
An ostensibly government approved, public, street covering, kink-focused showcase of public depravity where doing outrageous sexual practices in public areas is the whole point. Not just doing it in front of other people, but the most taboo -but legal- practices in the light of day in a street. Yes, San Francisco, yes, I know, but these freaks where the ones (literally) shitting al over Pride insisting it should be just like Folsom before Troons made their stellar appearance.
Also, the average Folsom attendee looks as disgusting as you would imagine.
You won't find attractive people there, and if you do they're:
a) A paid model whose purpose is to bring in the uggos and look good in PR images, as is common in most gay events. They will cut you short if you as much as talk to them.
b) An unpaid narcissist who will be there just to get attention but will most likely turn you down.
What you will find is variations of:
a) Lithe, unhealthy looking, sweaty, leather-clad middle aged men
b) Fat, hairy, sweaty, sun-burnt middle aged uggos
