Narcs like Chins don't feel real guilt, they only feel shame when publicly exposed for something they did. It's not the shame a normal person feels when they know they did wrong, its all about how they are perceived by other people.
They learn over the years what normal people expect and then fake it to avoid backlash. But most of the time people can tell it's bullshit. A good example is the insincerity we all feel when she tries and consoles a vibiot in her chat when they trauma dump. Sometimes in livestreams you can see she is truly baffled when someone calls her out on something she said. Like ALR, she is puzzled by some of the things normal people get upset about, especially because they don't have any empathetic feelings and are confused by some of the criticisms they get for being insensitive.
Chins was always shocked when people would say she was treating Peetz shitty. In her pea brain, as long as she was paying the bills, how could she be? Same with giving men money and paying their way. It's a means to an end, to fake love her. In Peetz case, it was so she didn't have to be alone. It's so obvious since once she thought she had a penis on lockdown, she took every opportunity to try and dump Peetz and she finally did.
But she's learned over the years what people will bitch at her for, so she tries to hide it better. But it still seeps out since she can't anticipate every nuance.
The only reason she is still butt hurt over the cat saga is that it made her look bad, she doesn't give a shit that she is an abuser, she only cares because her ego doesn't like to be called out for her shittiness. She thinks that her selfish need to have an animal adore her (notice she only pays much attention to them when a man isn't paying attention to her) is the same as HER loving and caring about them. No, it only works one way and that is for them to fill her needs, never her filling theirs.
