I've gone through what is available online, from both the lolcow board and myproana and this is what i've found.

Ashley Isaacs (also known as Ashley Finch way back when) is an anorexic who looks for asspats and attention from her illess. She also advocates recovering anorexics to binge/purge too. She is known by her local toilet attendant as she buys fries and gravy, then eats and purges it in her local public restroom.

She lives in a 1 bed apartment with her mom and sleeps on a recliner chair every night. She doesn't pay any rent as her mom pays that for her.

She has another anorexic BFF "erika" who has a husband and children. Erika once drove for hours to come and see Ashley. Erika left earlier than what Ashley wanted because Ash was giving off mixed signals. Ash then proceeded to chimp out that Erika left early and that Erika should have been there for her (despite Erika having her own problems). Erika was on the path to recovery and as soon as Ashley entered her life again, Erika collapsed.

Ashleys biological father left when she was young and she still sees it as a traumatic experience. Her mothers boyfriend apparently took the piss out of her for having ED, and Ash was pissed off at her mom for never standing up to him and his shit.

Her mother is a waitress called Rebecca Isaacs, a woman seriously in debt apparently because she had a boob job. Ashley and her mom also apparently used to compete for "who is the most anorexic", like being skinny and beautiful was a game between them.

Ashley, being the typical lolcow she is, spends her money on useless kawaii shit, then complains she is broke and asks for people to buy her shit off her amazon wishlist.

Ashley knows what she is doing is fucking dangerous, but she wants to be that weight without dying, Almost to prove a point. Anyone who questions her weight (even with honest intentions), gets shut the fuck down and Ashley acts like a total bitch towards them.

She won't outlive her mother, /pt/ has been saying this is the year for a while, but I give her until next summer. She hasn't lost any weight in a while, but if she keeps up her new "no more sweets" thing, she won't last much longer. Her previous victims friends have said she purges by drinking vegetable oil, which may be why she's still alive now.

God, it's been so long - so much of this is from memory from her threads the Girl Detectives over on lolcow have assembled. Given enough time I could sort through and get the documentation if it would help create a better look at this ana-monster.

Why is it people think Rebecca somehow is merrily watching her daughter shamble towards the grave. What is it exactly that people expect her to do? What is it that you think she hasn't done over the last decade dealing with Ashley's anorexia that she should do now? I'm not attempting to be confrontational but rather am encouraging people to put themselves in Rebecca's place, realistically.

There is no way Ashley will outlive her mother, but even if Rebecca was hit by a bus tomorrow the fact is most people Ashley's age have been out of college for a few years and have established families and careers. This is the life Ashley wants and nothing will deter her.

Currently Ashley's an adult so Rebecca can't force her into treatment and Ashley has turned down the chance for talk shows to foot the bill for the expensive treatment Rebecca could never afford as a waitress. Are you concerned that Ashley sleeps in a chair in a one bedroom apartment? They live in what Rebecca can afford and Ashley's protruding vertebrae and the backs of her pelvis would never permit her to lay flat very long so the recliner is more comfortable. Anorexics who weigh 30 pounds more than Ashley report the excruciating pain that comes from lying down too long - Ashley couldn't lie down flat on a bed for longer than an hour on a bet.

Rebecca is fucked and it serves Ashley's narrative for people to hate and blame her mother. The only option Rebecca has left would be to force Ashley's hand, create an immediate bottom line by throwing her out unless she agrees to let someone with deep pockets pay for treatment. She doesn't do it because it would kill Ashley almost immediately to be exposed to any sort of elements. I don't think many mothers, no matter how sick they are of the bile-scented zombie that spitefully controls their lives, could take that step.

I think you're taking the "beautiful child" thing a little too seriously. As with most lolcows Ashley wants attention/likes/comments online and from Facebook screencaps I've seen from her account it seems most people who interact with her posts are doing it obligatorily.

Rebecca has her own issues to be sure. But I have never seen any evidence she condones this and it's not like criticism can help at this point. I have to think that if Ashley was so debilitated by cancer she'd still call her her beautiful child or similar.

I sure when Rebecca sees Ashley she sometimes sees the stinking bag of bones that has stolen her life and sometimes she sees the little girl she gave birth to and had so many hopes for. Ash will be dead before long - I can't judge her mother's sentimentality and saccharine approach now too harshly. As a bystander I think Ashley is a despicable human being but mothers find it hard to give up hope and even if she has given up hope I'm sure Rebecca doesn't want to spend what time is left antagonizing her.

But Rebecca, who has her own disordered eating issues, isn't praising the illness. Her kid is dying and she has few options left so why not be kind even if it is a miserable lie. I suspect I wouldn't be engaging in such a band-aid verbal approach but the hardest decision I've ever had to make is when to euthanize a sick pet. Rebecca's life is hellish landscape I can barely imagine - it's hard to imagine what I would do in her shoes.

ETA: as I white knight for Rebecca, I also understand why people have the reactions they do. On my end detesting Ashley isn't a particularly reasonable response. She's a cluster b nightmare whose brain gets very little nutrition. She's so starved she can't make a good decision if she wanted to and I know that and still hold her in contempt. She may have had some mental acuity at the beginning but her brain has been so starved for so long that holding her responsible for the choices she makes now is irrational. Yet I do.

Why not just take away her internet access? Take away her phone and laptop and password protect your home network so she can't access it. That would remove her ability to feed off the internet's negative attention, which is something. Tell her she won't return internet privileges unless she calls back Dr. Phil and takes him up on his offer. Hell, can Ashley even drive in her condition? If not then refuse to take her places. Make her stay at home with no internet and no one to pay attention to her.

Why isn't Ashley in the hospital?
Because she doesn't want to get better. Ashley is an adult and can refuse medical treatment, which she has done and will do if anyone tries to intervene.

But PPE, what about the Baker Act?
Even if she were declared mentally unfit and forced into an eating disorder program it would be a waste. As soon as she was finished with the mandatory inpatient sentence she would go right back to her old habits, because to her being infamous for looking like death and not having to be a functioning member of society as a result is far more rewarding than health.

What did Ashley look like pre-eating disorder?
We'll likely never know. The pictures of her from her 4chan days do depict her at a normal weight but she still had an eating disorder at the time (you can easily see her bulimia cheeks in the OP's picture of her). After she was forced inpatient there's a long time where she was absent from the internet, and she returned as the skeletal version of Ashley we know today.

Does she know she has a problem?
Yes, she is fully aware that she has a very serious eating disorder as well as BPD and trichotillomania (evidenced by the lack of eyebrows) and I'm sure there's more. She has no intention of getting help for these illnesses because she can use the severity of them to manipulate people for gifts (she has yet to set up a gofundme as far as I know but she whores out her Amazon wishlist on tumblr which includes binge food) and as a get-out-of jail free card for being a huge bitch.

Sure but she won't stop, because tormenting her mother (who she lives with) is a major part of it. She'll still do that, and still bonelord around in Target, and still buy candy just to purge. Online attention is only one dimension of Ash's story.

I think her mother did stop buying Ashley binge foods. But even if she took away all the things Ashley loves, Ashley still gets money from the government because she's very clearly unable to work. Rebecca lays down the law, Ashley could get an Uber driver and buy the binge food herself. Cut off Internet, Ashley could pay to get it restored. If Rebecca were to somehow leave Ashley in a position where she has no means to communicate and Ashley has an accident or keels over, Rebecca could find herself in trouble for cutting off Ashley's ability to reach first responders.

Plus Ashley's such a manipulator that if her mom cut her off in any manner, Ashley could find someone to send her candy and money to handle any other bottom line scenarios Rebecca could enforce.

But Ashley is increasingly reaching rock bottom in terms of being able to do much physically. Eventually she won't have an ounce of energy for defiance, but since she will likely be in a coma when that happens it probably won't matter.

Also for binge eaters you often run into the situation of having to lock the fridge and tightly control what they eat and such, which for a bulimic who is also anorexic, is counter intuitive. Really she needs to be in a psychiatric hospital specializing in eating disorders.

I am currently eating a porterhouse steak and over easy eggs. I rubbed the steak in salt, pepper and garlic, and fried the eggs in fat rendered from the steak on the delicious strip on its side.
