The secondary reason appears to be being self-conscious about having to get clarification about how July pronounced "partner". In stung because it's true. You receive the most amount of flak when you're over the target. In July's case he received six hours worth, and while it was an awe inspiring display rivaling the night skies over Baghdad back in '91, it was as ineffective as it was voluminous.
