I'd argue it's still somewhat cosmetic (at least the top part), but also therapeutic. But I get what you're saying, insurance companies don't want to be forced to pay for people without dysphoria to get SRS.

And what's to stop cis women from demanding insurance pay for breast implants then? If they're insecure too it's only fair.

Most people won't go out of their way to be civil to a person if they're, you know, constantly screaming insults in their face, telling them how awful they are, always finding fault with them, and calling them names. That doesn't mean they stop supporting every trans person in the world, just means they decide the assholes get treated like assholes and everyone else gets treated like human beings.

They made a similar point in the Bad Wabcomics wiki review, but you can't demand everyone *accept* you, as long as they *tolerate* you. If someone scowls at you as you walk down the street, that's their prerogative and that's fine. The most you can really ask for is not to be murdered for the things you are. No one has to wave rainbow flags around you everywhere you go and praise your every move. Not everyone has to love you. It's nice to be accepted, but as long as you're tolerated, it's fine. And if she keeps judgingn people on being cisgender, people are going to keep judging her on being trans.
