People probably don't remember about 4 or so years ago when the wild hog meme was floating around. Many people on social media sites saw it as a way to mock farmers who wanted to keep their super scary AR rifles because of the problems/devastation that comes from wild pigs. That would include our own Lord of Lynn who changed his twitter handle to something like "40-50 feral Bobs" for a month or two. Back then it was a big joke/not happening. Now that they actually have video of someone going way over the top it's a travesty. They can't even get their terminology right.

Someone like Bob, who lives in a heavily populated area of the northeast doesn't even understand living in a part of America where the fauna wants to eat you, he just figures "Just uproot yourself and move to Boston, you worthless bumpkin." Still, while feral hogs and other such creatures are a good reason to own a decent weapon, the only "excuse" anyone should need for any weapon are the words, "shall not be infringed."

Here's the thing, Bob wouldn't be sympathetic to someone living in a rural part of the country who tried to fend off feral hogs with an underpowered rifle and got eaten along with his children. He'd just laugh and say, "Serves them right for being mayo ghouls." It wouldn't make him change his mind, because he doesn't care if mayo ghouls can defend themselves from harm, and in fact wants them to be harmed.

The feral hog comment was actually good for people who live in areas with dangerous wildlife and understand why you'd need a decent rifle. They'd understand it and sympathize. Urban bugmen like Bob will just laugh about it.

The comparisons to movie bob are as such, both had an insanely lucky break early on by working with more established people in the space. For Chris it was Adult Swim and the Aqua teen crew, for Bob it was the escapist.
