BUT I am really scared YL is a fucking cult and she’s going to make a decision that can’t be undone. And I can’t think of anything to say to her that won’t sound like an edict (which will only push her farther in, probably).
What does she mean by a decision that can't be undone?

Maybe it’s just because I also recently came to Jesus, but I’ve been noticing a lot of GenZ entertaining thoughts like this. It’s almost like growing up in a mindless, porn-sick, economically-depressed world with pervert pedos for fathers and hypocritcal handmaiden mothers has made youth hungry for moral guidance and loving discipline!

My daughter “came out” to me as a Jesus believer, is attending a Young Life group at her college and is getting baptized next week. I feel like a failure and am also terrified for her, but don’t know what to do shy of “ordering her not to,” which surely won’t work. Feel helpless (self.atheism)

I was still theist when they were born, they did CCD for a while, and several reasons led to my atheism and their being pulled out. My son is 22 now and is an atheist, pretty anti-religion and in just a plain “yeah it’s obviously nonsense” way.

I never “taught” them atheism. Apparently, my daughter never really stopped believing but it’s ramped up lately. She’s away at school and is now in YL. Her IG posts hinted at some things, and I texted my son to see if he knew how it had evolved. Apparently he basically messaged her and was like “dad is concerned.” Dummy lol

Well, she called me today and “came out” fully. She tried to play it off, it’s “non-denominational,” etc, but then said it’s really become a “focal point” and that she’s getting baptized. All I could do was reassure her that I didn’t think less of her and that my concern would simply be her well-being and safety, and that would be the case even if her religious belief didn’t exist.

So I just sit here scared and hoping it passes and trying to think of anything that may happen that may cause me to have to take some kind of stand. Argh 😣

I thought this was a joke account because who the fuck would serious post with a name like "sonicatheist"? Apparently this guy would, for four years. I'm glad the daughter escaped and hopefully finds a good Christian husband to have many Christian babies while her atheist dad dies alone buried under his massive funko pop collection.

Extremism rarely makes for a sustainable existance. Being a Jesus Freak is just as bad in the long term as being a Hedonist Coomer because you end up getting lost on the pit of ever expanding and radicalizing self righteousnes. Of course, being a Jesus Freak at least doesn't mean you start chopping off parts of your body and fucking up your entire nervous system with serotonin and endorphin burnout and SSRIs and such.

Get the fuck out of here with that retarded lukewarm „both sides“ take. „Jesus freaks“ literally built western society, tranny faggots are burning it down in record time while ending their bloodlines by selfcastration. It’s obvious one of these is sustainable and one not.

You are mistaking "Jesus Freaks" for "Christians". By the very nature Jesus Freaks are not regular pious people. Going to church every week doesn't make you a Jesus Freak. Not liking homossexual marrige, having a issue with godlessness and degeneracy doesn't make you a Jesus Freak. The vast majority of Evangelical types that get painted as Jesus Freaks aren't for example. I am talking exclusively about the last 50 or so years as well not all of Christian history.

Also I literally point out that even then Hedonist Tranny Coomers are worse than even the worst of Jesus Freaks due to the self mutilations and lack of some redeeming qualities.

In neither of your posts do you define what a Jesus Freak is or why it is bad to be one.

Edit: relatedly, lol

You know what that is fair. Without context it does come off as a weak "bothsides"ism.

I guess the easiest and fastest way to explain it would be to think of the steryotype of hypocritical evangelical pastor who claims to be pious but isn't. Using Christ and God as mere window dressing to hide his own flaws. The main trouble they cause is poisoning the well of Christ and making trouble by putting their own ego first.

It's quite interesting and telling how looking back actual jesus freaks were not nearly as common as the media and pop culture would have had us believe. I think this is some projection by the hedonist tranny types now in charge.

Lol someone should troll redditors by taking troonout stories from here or TERF forums and replace any reference to transgenderism with Christianity and see how redditors react.

Edit: decided to try it out as a proof of concept (original post here):

“I had a childhood friend go Jesus Freak. He was a pretty smart and friendly kid, though socially awkward and didn't have much of a filter. He was nice enough to be part of our friend circle, but his weirdness made it so he was always kind of on the periphery of it. It didn't help that he was a lot smaller than other boys his age, to the point where I suspect he had some kind of health condition. I moved away just before high school but kept in touch on social media. After high school he joined the military, did one tour of duty and then went to a low-tier college in an ultra-right wing small town. Then after graduating he suddenly (at least from my perspective) came out as Christian. I have no idea what's happened with him since then, since he was never very prolific on social media and I've since quit social media. I hope he's alright. Unrelated, but at about the same time he went Christian, I found out that another friend from that same group died of a heroin/fentanyl overdose.”

Why is "both sides" considered a thought terminator? We have our modern day inquisitions and eunuchs now.

Getting downvoted on reddit stings so much more than getting a bunch of dumb stickers on this site. idk if it's the anonymity of it or if it's because I know redditors are so fucking stupid that they probably didn't even bother to understand the post that they are mad at.
Getting downvoted on reddit usually means you said something sensible that the vast majority of sane people would agree with and that only is wrongthink to pedditors.

So Idk wtf "itasha" is but, from googling, it seems to be some Jap thing where they ruin expensive cars by covering them with a bunch of animu shit.

However, they don't take it to the levels of lewd depravity as your average Redditor. Also, random libertarianism.

Fags call this Itasha?
It's just a car with bunch of kinky stickers
