Not sure if this was posed in superchats, but on the issue of July's pricing discrepancy from giving a discount for buying multiple, isn't this accounted for by it not meaningfully raising the shipping cost on his end unless someone was to buy so much they needed an entirely different package? It's not like 3 comic books are going to be so much heavier than 1 that it would be super important, I'm pretty sure the bigger issue would be if those 3 were hypothetically distributed to 3 different addresses.

Null will love this... a lolbertarian blog has published an opinion piece arguing that Net Neutrality isn't necessary, and they give a shoutout to the Farms. (A)

Here are some choice quotes:
Just last year, Cloudflare, which provides various services to help websites perform better, dumped protection of Kiwifarms. (The online forum was blamed for a wave of harassment against trans activists, though this version of events has been disputed.) The site was immediately opened to cyberattacks, and like Parler, Kiwifarms also went offline.

It turns out half the Internet has a single point of failure, and it's called Cloudflare.

When net neutrality was introduced, people feared that ISPs would become a major source of censorship. That hasn't happened. Why revive the rules now?

I thought about it and my big plan is to just keep making new YouTube archive channels once it gets to strike 2, move back to old channels once strikes are cleared, ???, Sneed. Hopefully as YouTube gets worse more people will move to the alternatives anyway, so we're biding our time. Operation Whack-a-Mole underway with newest channel MATI Archive 404

^ video will be here once it uploads/processes

Also, as an alternative for people absolutely chained to YouTube for whatever reason, PotentiallyCriminal did a MATI stream snipe while building a model tank. Not sure if he plans to make this a regular thing but still worth subscribing. Also, watch the stream PotentiallyCriminal did with Null if you haven't seen it already.

his room is literally covered in moving tarps for soundproofing, are you telling me a hollywood billionaire can't soundproof a room?
If he's so much of a cheapskate to not buy proper soundproofing foam and instead use fucking moving tarps, then he's enough of a cheapskate to leave his ceiling completely flat so that all the sound bounces off of that.

I can get about 32 square feet of sound dampening foam for about 40$ with free overnight shipping to the nearest grocery store. There is no excuse to not get proper soundproofing as someone who can splurge a couple thousands on the audio equipment alone.

Unless Dick has this mentality where if he spends excessively on audio equipment it will work like magic and he won't have to do shit to his room, because tech magic. Even though soundproofing your room is like audio engineering 101, but he's a LA billionaire so he knows better.

You also want to watch your moisture output even from just people being in there and sweating that shit will grow mold very easily if your studio isn't properly ventilated. But dehumidifiers are also cheap. Obviously you turn that off while recording but shouldn't be a problem.

New York, NY, October 4, 2023 … ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) issued the following statement today regarding recent developments with X/Twitter:

“In light of recent events, it feels like a useful moment to clarify the ADL position on X and its leadership.

"As we have noted in our research over the past several years, X – along with other social media platforms – has a serious issue with antisemites and other extremists using these platforms to push their hateful ideas and, in some cases, bully Jewish and other users.

"We appreciate X’s stated intent over the last few weeks to address antisemitism and hate on the platform. This has been useful; more needs to be done; and, as we have with other companies, in the spirit of collaboration, we are hopeful that we can continue to engage with X on this important matter.

"We want to do so because ADL fights antisemitism, hate, and extremism across all platforms and regardless of party or ideology. We attempt to work with each platform in a constructive manner. We engage with all of them routinely on how to make their platforms better.

"To be clear, any allegation that ADL has somehow orchestrated a boycott of X or caused billions of dollars of losses to the company or is “pulling the strings” for other advertisers is false. Indeed, we ourselves were advertising on the platform until the anti-ADL attacks began a few weeks ago. We now are preparing to do so again to bring our important message on fighting hate to X and its users.

"A better, healthier, and safer X would be a win for the world. We’ve said that publicly and repeatedly, and we hope that company leadership shares that goal as well. As we do with all platforms, we will credit X as it moves in that direction, and we also will call it out when it has not.

"For over a century, ADL has worked across the political spectrum and with a wide range of companies and organizations to promote tolerance and religious freedom while challenging antisemitism and hate. We know that the vast majority of Americans share these goals. By working collaboratively with X and other platforms, we endeavor to further this common mission while respecting the Constitutional right to free speech and religious liberty that belongs to all of us.”
