What I find most amusing (though it's ALL funny) is that Crusty Rusty actually DID get the "girlfriend experience", it's just that he got the kind he deserves not the kind he wanted. They went out to dinner at some crappy restaurant, got annoyed with each other, and then went through the performative act of pretending to be attracted to each other even though there's absolutely no spark there.
