I was joking but like most jokes, it does have some truth to it. A lot of pickme types on Tinder will put that they like Naruto in their bio{...} They're just putting it there to attract men like their brother cause they have a complex and he won't fuck her or she's a pickme or she wants to attract a submissive, nerdy guy she can treat like shit.

Women's p[ace in patriarchy is always below males, and since they are in power, a woman who ingratiates herself to the males gains some measure of power over the other women and some protection for herself. Not respect, never the respect of the males, but in patriarchy that is unachievable anyway so the top of the shit heap (women are the shit in the heap if this isn't clear) is the best they can get.

Well that’s an optimistic pipe dream. Most men can’t even build their own power structures without some “in” so for women, especially with the culture and climate, it’s neigh impossible. My opinion of pick-me’s though I don’t think it’s a power position in the patriarchy, it’s almost always trying to one up women in degrading ways. You’re spot on with women’s history and how women are viewed as less. I however want to point out that this view is pretty relevant in a number of ways regarding class and race. I will say that I think patriarchy is more of a state of mind more than a legitimate governing system. Obviously we have countries in the world that practice it, but patriarchs have that as a thought process to set patriarchal laws and not governments being patriarchal in nature.
