I have some that live in my female hisser tank, but they can't get out thanks to lid+Vaseline. Wild ones come in my house a typical amount for anyone living in the south, when they do I either throw them outside or in my tank if I need fresh blood.

Periplaneta sp. can't really breed in or infest houses outside of places that have really high humidity (so like attics or garages). They're semi-pests. Only German roaches can actually infest houses bad, I kill them on sight. Remove kraut.

Those hissing cockroaches are seriously awesome. I have had one crawling on my hand. They're adorable, unlike literally every other kind of cockroach. Fuck palmetto bugs particularly. I hate those fucking things.

I'd have a hisser if I could get one and take care of it.

Oh definitely, and they don’t really have a smell (at least not compared to palmettos). I grew weary of them due to the nature of my job. Kids are super curious, which makes them grabby grabby. That doesn’t go well with fragile animals unfortunately. It was rewarding to see kids become interested in zoology, but I got tired of my roaches retuning to the zoo missing legs because someone snatched it out of my hands. In captivity they can live up to five years, our outreach bugs were lucky to make it to one.

Yeah you have to be really careful doing outreach with them. You have to pay attention to the kids at all times especially if they're very young. I'm usually sitting at a table when I'm doing outreach stuff so that at least provides a bit of a barrier.

They're at least much less fragile than tarantulas. I don't typically use my spiders for outreach b/c of that.

Notable 2018 user TVBForever was apparently found out to be under 18 years old according to profile comments and how they've cleared up their entire profile after these comments were posted.

If allegations are true, TVBForever would have been using Kiwi Farms ever since they were 12 years old. Talk about letting your children have unrestricted access to the world wide web!

Currently waiting for more information to surface on this, but it's all that I have gathered for now.

Addendum: Apparently this was because he began joining the movie night VC and his voice sounded too nasal and annoying to be an adult, this combined with his mannerisms on the site may have lead to this conclusion

Is being under 18 a bannable offense?
Is it "do not use this site if you're under 18" or "you really shouldn't use this site if you're under 18"?
I imagine the former.

Also, 12 years old. Holy shit.
I imagine if there's underage users, they'd sign up at like 16-17, but fucking 12?

At the bottom of the website it says that:
This is an adult website. Minors must discontinue accessing this site.

I'd imagine that is indeed ban material if allegations are true.

There was a kid that somehow wandered into the Farms to talk about Pokemon.

As soon as it was clear it was not a trolling attempt, Null mercybanned him ASAP.

For the record, I've found him on the comments sections of many memeish videos like from Synthcool and Neatoburrito. I think I've counted upwards of 15 times where I caught him. It's just him spewing the same old tired memes.

His voice is also really annoying.
