Dave Brian Muscato / Danielle Tatiana Muscato / Danielle Brian Muscato - Half-Assed Trans Activist, Fully Arrested, Rape Appropriator, Currently Trying to Extort His Parents

@monstrous bubo, thanks for the info (sorry, couldn't quote)!

I thought Dave might wait before complaining about Joe, but he posted this to Facebook yesterday:

This fucker is doing an any% speedrun from "mediocre internet celebrity for a week" to "completely unhinged schizo" and going for the world record. It's sad to see what fifteen minutes of fame can do to a weak-willed pampered manchild.
The silence from his former ass-patters and enablers as he spirals into pure lunacy is deafening.

This is great. Dave sees money worries. Dave thinks, "Obviously she wants to know how shitty my dad is and how I'm getting revenge."

I suppose Dave doesn't do job interviews, but I'd expect, "What can you bring to this company?" to draw a response like, "My dad had me arrested for allegedly breaking into the house he calls his but that should rightfully be mine and I can't even afford a taxidermist for my cat."

According to his facebook rant, he was in the women's prison. Maybe he'll get his very own Reduxx article.
I will hope and pray for the body cam footage of the arrest.
My first wish has been fulfilled!

not sure about "prominent" though... perhaps physically
A prominent trans activist has been charged with crimes related to financially abusing his parents after reportedly attempting to intimidate them into giving him money and stealing hundreds of dollars from them. Danielle Tatiana Muscato, born David, was booked as a “female” by the Columbia Police Department.

On September 26, a warrant was issued for Muscato’s arrest by the 13th Judicial Court in Boone County, Missouri, on three charges — one count of stealing and two counts of harassment. Notably, the court determined Muscato was an imminent risk to the “victim, community, or another person” and was not likely to appear on a summons. Muscato was booked that same day at the Boone County Jail as a “female” detainee.

According to the prosecution’s complaint against Muscato, he is alleged to have financially abused his parents on three separate occasions this year.

In May, Muscato ambushed his parents while his mother was attending a medical appointment. He live-streamed the interaction to his YouTube channel in a video which is still up on the account.

In the video, Muscato is seen following his parents through a parking lot while playing an electric guitar. His own vehicle is seen plastered with decals reading “Dr. Muscato Is Abusive,” a reference to his father, who is an Oncologist and one of the founders of the Missouri Cancer Associates in Columbia. Muscato has reportedly created t-shirts, a website, and other merchandise attempting to portray his father as a “child abuser” and “domestic abuser.”

In January on his social media, Muscato advertised he was going to raise funds to perform a “one-woman play” on his father titled “Dr. Muscato Is Abusive: A True Story of Child Abuse, Police Corruption, and Domestic Violence.”

In the livestream, Muscato’s mother retreats to her own vehicle, at which point he stands between her car and another parked vehicle and attempts to speak to her through the window.

According to court documents, just prior to this ambush, Muscato had demanded $10,000 “cash in an envelope” from his mother via text message, threatening her with consequences if she did not comply.

Muscato’s targeting of his parents continued in June, in which two separate incidents were recorded.

On June 6, Muscato again visited his mother while she was at a dentist appointment, threatening to report his father to the FBI for “child porn” he claimed his parents had on “USB drives.” This claim was made in the lobby of the office in front of multiple staff, and left his parents “shaken up” and in emotional distress.

The third incident, occurring between June 9 and June 28, involved Muscato charging over $1,089 to his parents’ account at County Club of Missouri for take-out food by misrepresenting his authorization to use their tab.

According to the police report, Muscato’s parents had changed the locks on their house due to fear he would show up. His father reportedly suffers extreme emotional distress when seeing Muscato in public, and begins to “shake as he is very scared” of what Muscato might do to him. His father also told police that he believes Muscato has access to his email and family scheduling app, as he manages to find them no matter where they are.

In June, Muscato’s parents filed a protective order against him on the basis of adult abuse, and were granted the order shortly after. Muscato reportedly attempted to evade service for the order, but was finally served on July 25.

While in police custody, Muscato was sent to the emergency room at the University Hospital after complaining of chest pain.

From the hospital, Muscato snapped a selfie and uploaded it to social media, claiming he had experienced a “heart attack.”

Muscato was released the next day after posting a $50,000 bond with the strict condition he did not contact the victim or appear at the victim’s residence.

This is not the first time Muscato has been accused of abusive behavior.

In November of 2022, a woman accused Muscato of sexual impropriety, claiming he had “groomed” her in an effort to have her become his sexual partner. In a public statement on Facebook, Sarah An Myers, a writer for Psychology Today, stated that she had befriended Muscato during a vulnerable moment in her life.

“I was desperate for someone to understand me and I agreed to befriend Danielle under a guise of pro-feminist, progressive, LGBT pride,” she wrote.

“After 1.5 years, Danielle began grooming me as a potential sexual partner. When the third attempt of physical contact was breached (repeated attempts to kiss me goodbye), I cut this person out of my life attempting to rid of the disgust I felt and betrayal of a platonic friend turned into a sexual conquest.”

Myers claims Danielle later attempted to manipulate her into sending him lewd photos and persuade her into entering a sexual relationship with him. She also says that she later discovered other young women had been similarly manipulated by Muscato, who she also claims was writing “books on pedophilia” under a pseudonym.

“There’s so much more but to keep this short, I will point out that this person was using liberal politics to play under the guise of the ‘victimized, traumatized, mentally ill TRANS WOMAN’ and many of us suspect this is entirely a MADE UP AND FALSE GUISE used to gain status and notoriety given their appearances on NYT, CNN, AND MORE.”

In response to the public statement, which is still up on Myers’ account, one user said: “I remember you telling about your deep concerns about this person and their motivations and intentions 4/5yrs ago.”

Muscato is well-known for his advocacy on trans rights and Black Lives Matter, though his involvement in civil rights has been ongoing since the Trump presidency. In 2016, Muscato gained widespread notoriety after “clapping back” at Donald Trump on social media.

Muscato was highly praised for his rants against Trump, which were covered by NBC, Mashable, Huffington Post, and other mainstream news outlets. Despite having a full beard at the time, Muscato identified as a woman and was referred to in the feminine by media.

Muscato is also credited with popularizing the #RESIST campaign, which became a symbol of resistance to Trump’s presidency, but also Republican policies. In an interview, Muscato stated that the hashtag was “about stopping the erosion of our civil liberties and human rights before it happens—not just actively oppose, but proactively oppose.” He added: “Waiting until bigotry is codified into law is a mistake, potentially a deadly one.”

Muscato has also been an active member of the atheist community, and, in the past, has gained massive attention for social media stunts including holding inflammatory billboards in public, inviting individuals to “prove God is real” or “convince me your religion is true.” He has also spoken at conferences held by Atheists United, and was involved in a campaign to “normalize atheism.”

In 2017, Muscato came under fire from women’s rights advocates after posting to social media “some women have penises, if you’re bothered by this you can suck my dick.” The statement was made on International Women’s Day.

That "Tatiana" always cracks me up. A salute to Curse of Strahd I presume, yet if ever there was a man born to be called Bertha, it's Dave.

Kudos to the regulars here whose research and analysis provided a rich background file for the Reduxxians.

A lot of Dave's posts are complete non-sequiturs.

Reduxx highlighted a classic: "I am seeking session players to record this properly in the studio though I have #dermatillomania aka obsessive compulsive skin picking disorder. so yeah sorry about my face"

Sorry About My Face would work great on his Patreon merch - the Official Muscato Motto.

How did Dave spend over $1K on takeout in three weeks? Ordering dinner regularly, say $30/meal for 30 days? Or a smaller number of high priced meals (maybe to entertain guests)? I considered Dave ordering wine, but at what point does that become suspicious?
Probably on wine, that's how that jounalist racked up a $78 dollar bill on a hamburger and fries at Newark, the hamburger was only $18, it was the two double shots of whiskey he ordered at $22 each that made up most of the bill.

@monstrous bubo, agree with @Xenu Warrior Princess, Dave doesn't get much engagement these days: token reactions, occasional replies (to be fair, I think this is true for most of his social media history -- he had a touch of media attention he's never gotten over).

His Facebook is actually a fun read, for the reasons @AirdropShitposts points out. Miles of bitching about topic XYZ, then a fantastic line like "taking applications for New Years Eve kisses" (archive).

As of October 6, 2023, Jeff Muscato is now an asshole, with the same form of NPD as Dr. Joe (archive):

DM_2023_10_06_Reddit, Jeff.png

For those keeping score, everyone in the Muscato nuclear family (except Dave, of course) is now a monster. More Children of Narcissists posts (archive):

And Lt. Andy gets a Facebook shout-out (archive (to be fair, I laughed too)):

I keep hoping for Dave to pivot towards QAnon/full-blown Sovereign Citizen nuttiness, and I'm patient. If Milo Y's homosexuality can go into remission, there might be hope for Dave's nonsense yet!

Based on these, my guess: his behaviour was shitty enough that they needed him out, but he wouldn’t go so they took the nuclear option. Once he moved out, the eviction proceedings were moot. If they weren’t sure he was gone for good, they could have kept the proceedings on foot as protection and leverage. They then offered to drop the proceedings if he stayed away (and probably gave him some cash to help him and sweeten the deal). As for his stuff, they probably offered to store his shit, but asked for something in writing to cover their arses, like a bailment (in which Dave retains ownership and they have possession).

Support for this: they took him back in! Also he still has a large guitar collection, way more than the couple he claimed were being repaired, plus all the other crap he claimed he got back from his parents. If he had transferred ownership they could easily have sold it all. But they hung onto it. They kept some form of relationship with him, instead of totally severing all ties.
They charged him $1 rent when they let him move back in (I'm pretty sure, I can't find the source right now). I'm pretty sure that's to prevent him from claiming squatters rights.

I believe they don’t really have squatters right in Missouri* but that’s still a really good point. I can see them reducing the arrangement to a formal lease and charging a peppercorn rent. That protects them because they can evict him more clearly, and I guess also helps Dave build a credit score.

* it’s a landlord friendly state. It does have adverse possession, but that requires Dave to be in sole possession for 10 years, so living in his parents’ basement wouldn’t count. Cool property laws, caring doctors like the Muscatos and it’s prosecuting Dave? Might have to move there…

That's exactly why they did it. According to Dave, that was the third time he's been kicked out of his parents' house, so I think they more or less knew what they might be getting into and acted accordingly by making him sign a proper lease. They're still foolish for taking him back in the first place but that's easy for me to say, I'm not his dad.

Apparently, the story of Andy's expulsion is a work in progress.

Looking forward to Dave's next revision. Maybe he'll put severed fingers in Andy's lunchbox.

This is something I haven't seen here, apologies if it's been posted already:

That might have been the only time in his life he chose a title for himself that actually described him.

Best part of the story (for me) was Dave claiming to have dated Fiona Apple.

This was already mentioned in a post earlier this year, but I thought I'd dig a little deeper. Back in 2004, Dave started the "Free Fiona" campaign with the stated goal of convincing Fiona's record label to release her third album, Extraordinary Machine.

NYPost - Girl, Interrupted – Fans are Begging for Fiona's Lost Album
The real problem, group founder Dave Muscato said, is the lack of a song with hit-single potential.

...

Meanwhile, freefiona.com advocate Muscato organized a Jan. 28 protest at Sony headquarters on Madison Avenue and the Web site has gotten 2.5 million hits since it was established.

Supporters also have mailed Sony CEO Andrew Lack buckets of apples.

“I’m doing this because I’m a big Fiona Apple fan and I can’t stand the idea that this [record] wasn’t going to be available because of marketing issues.

“The art is there,” Muscato told The Post.

Muscato understands Sony is a business that has shifted its priorities to more lucrative musical styles such as hip-hop, rap and pop, but he believes artists such as Apple should have a chance to try and even fail.

“When a record company takes on an artist, that’s the risk they take,” he said.

The Pitch - Extraordinary Mess
There’s a special type of fan whose devotion borders on obsession. Columbia, Missouri, native Dave Muscato’s muse is the seldom-seen Fiona Apple. Muscato’s Web site, FreeFiona.com, has attracted attention from The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Newsday, among others, for Muscato’s efforts to force Sony to release her latest, Extraordinary Machine, which was recorded in 2003 and allegedly shelved for lack of commercial appeal.

Surprisingly, Muscato is quite levelheaded for being such a superfan. He sees his cause as a reflection of the philosophy that musicians ought to be able to be creative without label constraints, but the way he defends Apple also illustrates the modern-day music fan’s sense of total entitlement to an artist’s work. “Fiona’s music deserves to be heard, whether or not Sony believes they can make a buck in the process,” Muscato tells the Pitch.

Muscato says that through FreeFiona.com, he’s doing all he can to see that Extraordinary Machine is released, whether Sony sells the album to some other label or decides to free Apple from its Epic label. Muscato has even begun researching the possibilities of buying out her contract himself.

NPR Morning Edition - Fiona Apple and Her 'Extraordinary Machine'
Dave's very brief appearance starts at 3:43.

Mr. DAVE MUSCATO (Musician): My name's Dave Muscato. I'm a 21-year-old musician from Columbia, Missouri, and founder of the Free Fiona Apple campaign.

BLAIR: Free Fiona was an attempt by Muscato and other fans to put pressure on Sony. They sent more than a thousand foam apples to the company's headquarters and created a Web site that collected about 36,000 signatures for a petition urging the label to release "Extraordinary Machine."

Mr. MUSCATO: Her music is personal, but people can understand it in a way that really connects with them, and it's brooding, but she has a light in her that's very interesting to listen to.
