I'm watching the live about 50 min late and just caught the part where he mentioned that "Mama JF likes to be dropped off at trucker locations for customers". Considering he slipped up it shows how JF thinks of her past, present and (hopefully) future life. He seems to be trying very hard to convey that she's perfectly safe and alive, and that he's perfectly fine with her leaving him.

But I think he's harboring a deep resentment towards her, maybe after getting cucked by her during her last departure he recently learned of her activities during that time, which resulted in her death as he may have been enraged after hearing those details. On JF's livestream where he claimed that even if she found a new boy friend he would still love her, making him sound like a cuck. In my opinion, he wouldn't care being seen as a cuck and certainly did not think about making such a statement as his primary goal at this point is to appear innocent at all costs.

• He has said that he wishes he could have control over her on several occasions
• He has made subtle passive comments disapproving of her past lifestyle
• He has stated on several occasions that he believes women are pretty much dumb children

That does not match with newly found cuck perspective that would only hopefully please his new law enforcement friends.

TLDR: JF would rather to be seen as a cuck then to be seen as a murderer and the signs of his resentment towards Mama JF are beginning to ooze out of him.

I have no clue about Canada. They do some weird shit up there.

But almost certainly they probably could. It isn't a gimme, though. (In the U.S.) even cases where a man has been shown to be a menace to his wife don't just automatically mean he's a menace to the kids. Courts have found spouses that are definitely a threat to their significant other to be reliable parents.
