Probably overwhelmed. Only so many missiles you can have on hand ready to fire and reloading is generally slow.
Allegedly, they took parts of the Iron Dome and sent it to Ukraine. I know the US -- who owns the Iron Dome system -- wanted to, but Netanyahu was blocking it. Who knows if he kept blocking it. For obvious reasons they probably didn't talk about it publicly.

I don't think Israeli citizens deserve to die just because a few Jews in positions of power in Anglo speaking countries happen to be sociopaths. It's literally no different as praising the Waffen SS just because they killed Russians to spite Putin today.
Couldn’t care less about a group of people that consider us as cattle (goyim) while flooding all western countries with shitskins.

This "war" (which will probably be reclassified as a large scale raid depending on if anyone wants to politicize the issue further) probably won't last long, in any case. Hamas made some good gains and took good territory but it might just not be enough to justify calling for more help and throwing all your resources at it.

Considering the huge amount of hostages taken, the best way forward might be to just retreat back into Palestine and tell the Israelis if they don't watch their step they all die. The raid has probably served its ultimate purpose, that being to send the very clear message that nobody is safe anywhere near Gaza and the Israeli Army isn't nearly as tough, well trained or unbeatable as the world would have you believe, while the capabilities of Hamas were far, far too underestimated. I would be genuinely very surprised if Israel started a war with Iran over this like they've been hinting at, it would be really fucking stupid considering how poorly their army is doing against what barely amounts to a militia.

Plus, the world is probably too distracted with Ukraine for it to be a good idea to start another "we just HAVE to waste billions on this" war (good luck getting any artillery shells in current year +7).

Hey, I used to have an account here a few years ago (around 2019 on the shoe0nhead thread) and I still lurk around now and then, I am a Jew(not ashkenazi so not truly evil) from israel so I wanna answer some common questions/hypothesis ive seen on this thread.

In addition I served as a combat medic in an infantry unit(Givati if you wanna search it up) for 3 years.

Our conscription system for the miliary has progressively gotten worse for the last 20 years, our basic infantry unit is notorious for heavy drug usage, a lot of alcohol and very low proficiency and expertise in tactics and ability much of this problem arises from the fact that Israel has mandatory conscription and our best and brightest usually done go to stuff like Hagn"a(Iron dome basically) or basic infantry units for a while now, but the iron dome only stops around 90% of rocket artillery btw.

A lot of stuff are currently ongoing in Israel politically, There's the judicial reform in which like many of here said has 2 camps that are divided in the country which caused a lot of pilots (Lsraels most prestigious army position is being a pilot especially a fighter pilot its easily the hardest and most coveted place to get into in Israel) and other reserves to stop going to reserve duty, this has been causing a bit of debate in the last ~3 months or so about our military readiness and there has been a lot of speculation about being vulnerable to attacks from Lebanon and hamas.

A big misconception a lot of people is people calling Najd and sderot the same place, sderot is much bigger and was established 3 years on najd but its not really the same place, its also not been captured, smaller settlements did especially one named Beeri where there was a rave of junkies and psytrance ketamine narcs which kinda started the whole thing.

I don't have a tinfoil hat on and Idk believe glow in the dark Shabak agents (our fbi) did anything with this but the brigade that protected the gaza strip has acted really slopily, there was no report on the happening until after it happened despite the fact that we have cameras that can see around 500 meters into gaza territory on the fence, the fact they were able to penetrate them at 14 different points and just enter just shows sloppy work by the occupying military forces (unlike the u.s we have brigades rotating military bases around the country every 4 months ill delve deeper into it if you would like).

they "bunks" you have been referring to that were captured were stuff we call in the gaza strip Zakam, its basically an outpost where a squad of infantry and armored corps could base itself while doing military work/small missions.

if you wanna know more intricate stuff about whats happening rn or the IDF just ask I will update all of you. I also have many friends who were called up today and I might get called up in the next week or so.

As you see above I am not a native English speaker so sorry if it reads a bit retarded.

If they did dismantle the iron dome behind closed doors, whoooo weeeee, what a storm. If it is down, it is probably why the attack is happening now; judging by how laxed Israeli intelligence is, it isn't much of a leap to think there is a mole or three in the ranks that would know this information and vulnerability.

hinting at where? they've declared war against hamas, that's it so far. war against iran isn't even an option, not only because the jews would be severely outnumbered and outgunned, but also because they have neither a land border nor any other way to launch meaningful incursions into iran itself.
at most they could fuck around a bit with some of irans proxy militias (hezbollah in lebanon) but actual war against iran itself is not on the table.

Is there any country with a cabable army nowadays? The russkies are a bunch of drunken clowns, the chinks are a bunch of yellow clowns, the kike army is a bunch of greedy jew clowns, the burger army is a bunch of gay tranny clowns (but at least a bit more capable than the others)...and the rest is probably a bunch of [insert nationality and slur of your choice] clowns.

We need the ancient romans/greeks/spartans back.

Biden just approved $8 billion worth of asplodey gibs to Israel

Israeli opposition leader Lapid is calling for the formation of an emergency national unity government to fight the war

Israel is gonna go medieval on Gaza and on Hezbollah too if they join in on the party

"We welcome the actions of the Palestinian fighters and will stand by their side until the complete liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem," said General Rahim Safavi, Adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

I got the sides wrong - in any case it's inevitable that the Iranians will have been involved in planning and organizing this raid and this will eventually be discovered. If the Israelis choose to wipe out Palestine once and for all (very unlikely) Iran may very well get involved, or be preemptively attacked itself (obviously not in a large scale, but with ballistic missile raids), just like Hezbollah.

im not confident about that
the way i see it, iran will keep screeching "death to israel" like it has been doing for the past 40 years, and it will keep giving indirect support to the anti israel war effort, but it will not launch a direct war against israel, because it fears that this would cause american retaliation.
and on the other side, israel won't launch its own first strike attack against iran because it fears that being seen as the aggressor could result in america withholding its support, resulting in israel getting assblasted by the persians.

i do wonder what israel plans to do with gaza and the west bank. maybe force out all the palis from gaza into egypt and from the west bank into jordan? that would generate massive tension and conflict with egypt and jordan respectively. but other than that i don't see what they can really do to improve the security situation in the long term. sure they can carry out a few strikes as a show of force, maybe cripple and destroy current pali leadership, but in the long term that won't make a big difference.

Knowing very little of the unfolding situation, but if it is true that the iron dome failed in a counter against the bottle rockets that HAMAS usually lobs in. I would like to ask how in the fuck did the Mossad fail so incredibly regarding this offensive. I wouldn't say it lightly that this is essentially Israel's 9/11, considering the massive intelligence failure that occurred. Also wouldn't be beyond me that there isn't an underlying reason for the iron dome failing to such an extent. The hand gliders and Somalis finest boats just peering up a crossed in such a fashion just shows that this is a massive fuck up.

This indeed puts Sleepy Joe in quite the perplexing situation and I wonder how much more money we are going to have to throw out in munitions this time? Scratch that, I wrote this while the Farms was down; 8 billion dollars to start with apparently... Considering that their intelligence is world class and are supposed to have one of the best militaries on the entire globe, and the insurgents even successfully progressed this far in the boarder. Makes me wonder why in the fuck we even bother wasting that money to begin with? Until we get some actual numbers of the extent of the damage, I can say that the numbers are merely up to speculation. I remember last time when HAMAS struck back in 2021 and the footage from that I thought was pretty crazy. Though that was with the iron dome doing what it needed to do and the intelligence just not fail so tremendously. The counter offensive doesn't shock me, considering that the IDF ended up getting caught completely with it's pants down this time. Shouldn't these fuckers have world class border patrol considering the rats nest that is on the outskirts?

I am more curious of the Iranian connection than anything in this, and if they are rallying up their militia throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and so on and so forth. The shennegans have just begun, and considering the billions of dollars of cargo that the United States ended up just giving for free just a brief short time ago after the pullout in Afghanistan. Somewhere down the pipeline the rag tag militias with the funding of the Iranians and Saudis they have some of that stuff in the mix as well. With what ever disregarded goodies we just give these fuckers for free at this stage.

President Joe Biden of the USA has released a statement:

Statement from President Joe Biden Condemning Terrorist Attacks in Israel

This morning, I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu about the horrific and ongoing attacks in Israel. The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel. Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people. The United States warns against any other party hostile to Israel seeking advantage in this situation. My Administration’s support for Israel’s security is rock solid and unwavering.

Jill and I are keeping in our prayers all of the families who have been hurt by this violence. We are heartbroken by the lives that have been tragically cut short and hope for a swift recovery for all those who have been wounded.

My team and I are tracking this situation closely, and I will remain in close touch with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

I agree. I don't think this raid changes anything in the long term since I don't think either of the sides is very willing (or really, able) to wage full scale war and the realistically attainable goals in such a war wouldn't even be anywhere near worth the losses incurred.
