2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Hamas isnt supported by Iran in any meaningful way. they also dont coordinate with Iran. Iran has the much more competent terror group under their control and SIrael would get ounded hard from the north if iran was involved in this.
Iran has been one of the main suppliers of weapons and cash to Hamas since the second intifada. Israel navy captures rustbucket freighters full of guns and asplodeys from Iran trying to get to Gaza at least once a year or so

Really interested to see the coming public reaction this. Most people, even mutts, have way more information and opinions about Israel v Palestine than they do literally any other global conflict (even if it's abysmal and only from MSM). I remember the Foreign Language department at my University labeling Israel as "OCCUIPIED PALESTINE" on a big map in the lobby. I highly doubt this will be a unilateral SLAVI UNKRAINI or SUPPURT R TROOPS bumper sticker moment like all of the other international interventions in my lifetime. I can't wait to for the Thanksgiving table arguments between uncles and cousins .
Quite interesting how the same people who claim to fight against Nazis and Antisemites are against Jewish people having a sense of soverignity and a place to call theirs. Antisemitism goes both ways, on one side you see /pol/tards screeching "HAHA HAMAS KILLED KIKES" and in the other you hear "THOSE EVIL COLONIALISTS GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED".
Anyways, about the conflict, has it been confirmed that weapons that were supposed to be sent to Ukraine ended up in Palestinian hands?

If they are this ill prepared to deal with shitbirds like Hamas, how on earth can they contend with Hesbollah or Syria?
>Palestine launches surprise invasion on a Jewish holiday where they just bulldoze the border wall and start mowing people down
>Iron Dome doesn’t do much against the rockets
>Palestinian just paraglides over the border
>already posting ISIS style videos of brutality

Bibi knew it was coming and let it happen.

I cannot believe how idiotic it is that the civilians are not allowed to have guns easily. It boggles my mind. You're at the edge of the world next to the barbarians.
The cynic in me is yelling, "this is a trap and the bombs will come when the scouts say there are refugees in them." But, then again, I know that even radicals have some respect for ancient religious buildings like mosques, maybe my cynicism is wrong. 🌈
Can't trust them, even if it's true for now. Give it a few more years and they will kick them all out.

Apparently Hamas was armed with explosive Iranian made rounds which explains how they fucked up the military so badly. Kevlar might as well be a bandaid.

I remember seeing a lot of unconfirmed reports that Hamas was also dressing In Israeli uniforms and used that to maximize surprise. They had guys who spent years undercover too if the word is correct .

Israel is in a really REALLY bad position. if they lash out blindly they run the risk of starting a war. But if they dither and do nothing they invite more attacks. They have completely dropped the ball in maintaining their military strength. I don't think people realize how dire the situation is. They have no true allies in the Muslim countries. If they smell real blood in the water the dominos fall.

Considering the Arab world is essentially sick of Palestinians chimping out all the time, as well as Israel being handed justification to pretty much wipe Gaza off the map, a long term peace is more viable now than ever before. Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic.
yea, israel is no longer the uber hated spawn of satan country in the region.
Again, egypt and israel are mostly fine with eachother, the egyptians hate the hamas lunatics so much they closed the border with them (thats 50% of the reason why gaza is a prison btw).
Jordan is relatively influenced by the US, they also purged the palestinians hardliners some time ago.
lebanon and gaza are the only direct threats to israel, and they are both shitholes to say the least.
Also saudi arabia is trying to normalize relations and stop being hostile to israel, which some people suspect is what triggered this hamas attack.

I may be an optimist dumbass, but to me conflicts in the area really look like they could go down, as long af the syrian war doesnt heat up again (you will always have some ISIS terrorists running around but nothing you can do to that)

I don’t think Israeli-Saudi normalization would ever happen because 99% of Saudis would gladly join a Jihad for Palestine.
SA isn't a democracy. It's a welfare autocracy run by secret police who've spent the last 50 years rooting out every speck of dissent. Your average Saudi is overweight and dependent on gibs. The few who were willing to stand up against the royal family have long since been purged.

It's also a very young country so a huge chunk of the population has no connection to the intifada. Your average urban Saudi probably sees themselves as having more in common with the hipsters in Tel Aviv than with Palestinians.

There's video of Iron Dome operating rn

The system was overwhelmed by the sheer number of rockets in the initial barrage. It wasn't destroyed or made not-operational. Its supplies on hand of antimissile missiles probably ran low from trying to stop the initial barrage, they gotta get more from supply depots

The US is in no position to help is a very strange thing I keep seeing as the US has huge stockpiles of the aerial munitions Israel will need replenished, they're like the one kind of weapon the US hasn't sent to the other war everyone has been sperging about

Israel also has huge stockpiles of asplodeys as it has declined to send any of them to that other war everyone has been sperging about
Beyond the intel failure, I don't believe this is a case of "we see our enemy is weak now." Hamas is fully fucking aware of what Israel can and will do. They know how they react when Israel gets a blood nose. But the problem is, too many voices where criticizing Israel so Israel did alot of it's sneaky shit in the shadows. What Hasmas has done isn't to take land and it's not just to prove a point.

By escalating this far, they know they will have pushed Israel to an extreme. Whether it's burning Gaza to the ground or annexing it, the ultimate point is to provoke Israel to the point that other powers intervene and we get another Yom Kimpur War. They want Israel to lash out and hope it causes a wider war.

The US is in no position to help in any realistic way.
So I don't have to worry about military propaganda everywhere asking to help our greatest allies keeping democracy in the middle east?
Still scared we might still start sending more money to Israel so we can fund another forever war while the country crumbles under it's shit economy.

Then they're retarded, no one is coming to fight on their side except maybe Hezbollah. And Hezbollah can't invade and beat Israel either, it can shoot off a lot of rockets but the IDF is on full war alert now with like half its total reserves being called up, attacking the northern border with Hezbollah soldiers or trying infiltration would be a disaster

I have a friend who lives in Kiryat Motzkin, is there anywhere anyone knows about where he can leave too. He is retired and not poor but not terribly mobile...if hes fucked just tell me and ill relay that to em.

Edit: Been chatting to him. He knows he cant do anything else about it. No point in worrying about futility as he said.

American President Joe Biden is going to speak on the situation in Israel in less then 30 minutes.

Blames chaos from GOP ousting McCarthy for emboldening America's enemies: 1:1
Blames "rising tide of anti-semitism" on Twitter as partly responsible 2:1 ($10 prop.: Musk named)
Blames Putin, somehow: 3:1
Blames Donald Trump and/or "white supremacy" 5:1
Gets confused, mistakes the event for 9/11 30:1

Maybe the point isn't an invasion? They could disincentivize israeli settles by making the area potentially so dangerous that no jew is willing to go there and through this effectively stop further annexation.

Not going to link, but if interested in live coverage on You Tube (so no gore), I would suggest Agenda-Free TV. Dude basically aggregates news from news feeds and repeats it, but no politics and he injects maps and references to historic facts. He did a great job covering Ian, he basically goes live all day when there is something hot to cover.

Also, regarding Israel/India: TEVA Pharmaceutical is Israeli owned, the 18th largest pharm co. in the world, and largest producer of generics. India accounts for 48% of actual drug manufacturing in the world.

I've noticed the most vocal Hamas supporting members of "The Squad" Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have been unusually silent today. :gunt:
