2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Cant believe it, sand niggers are involved and they brought obama back for it.

Social media is handling the conflict about as well as can be expected. Good thing we have arbiters of truth like Ian Miles-Cheong to keep us on task.

I really don't get the plan behind going for civilians. The arabs did this way too competently to just fall for a simple bloodlust and go full Gassy Conan. If they just stuck the IDF they would move faster and get massive PR boost. Its not even like they can say civilians will report their movements, with drones and CCTV everywhere, shooting civilians to stop them from using the phone booth is a tugboat that sailed long ago.

so where did hamas get all these guns and ammunition?

To absolutely no one's surprise.

ooga booga chimpouts need no real long term goals.
>we have bombs!
>maybe throw bombs over fence to kill jews?
>maybe raid some villages, kill and rape some jew peasants?
>based based based allahu akbar allahu akbar!!
that's as far as their reasoning goes

I don't get it how they could catch Mossad and IDF so with their kippahs down around their ankles if they were cavemen to this level. Its not like they had tanks or aircraft. If this isn't a gayop I fully expect IDF staff to get circumcised because its a collosal fuckup.

This may as well just be a football match to you people. Entirely worthless opinions by people who have a shallow understanding of the world and maybe leave their house to go outside once or twice a week. The greatest thing the Internet and mass media ever achieved was convincing people that their opinions matter

Why can't Europe laught at someone else's misery just for once? This NHI chimpout over some sky daddy's backyard porch.

Very normal and sane take from an Israeli ultranationalist.

Neither side is doing their best for the PR part.

Afterword: I would have some kino music but dear Feeder is being very kosher about this thread, so no music for ya'all.

Browsed through highlights and last few pages but didn't saw this. Does anybody know if this is from this war? Caption on 9gag said more women being taken hostage in gaza

Hamas militans have been confirmed to have taken hostages in Ofakim, which lies 16 miles/25km from the border with Gaza so they've likely captured quite a few hostages in addition to that:

This is the first time since the Israeli indpendence war of 1948 that enemy combatants have managed to launch ground attacks this deep into Israel (as of its 1966 borders).

I've admittedly been in a pretty poor state of mind lately, so I don't trust my own judgement of the situation. Are we like fucked if this pops off? Will it even pop off? Someone who isn't a retarded mentally ill 23 year old please respond

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is good in the long run for Israel. I'm not going to pretend that this is isn't a humiliation, but considering that we were taken by surprise, it could have been much worse. 200 killed + hostages taken is a severe blow, but nothing compared to the obvious parallel, the Yom Kippur war. This will force the government and defense establishment to reevaluate the complacent policies that led to this situation, and they will obviously be applying lessons learned to other fronts, most importantly the border with Lebanon.

Contrary to some of the wilder sperging in the thread, Iron Dome is operating as normal (no system ever has a 100% success rate), Bibi has not been taken to the hospital, and most importantly the population of Israel is now unified - we've been shocked into remembering who our real enemies are, and what they are capable of. We will almost certainly get a unity government for the duration of the conflict, and maybe even longer.

There are only two things I'm personally concerned about: a) the government cucking out due to the hostages taken into Gaza and b) third party involvement. I think that the first is unlikely, and while the second is obviously Hamas's goal in the larger conflict, the IDF is now on full wartime footing. Hezbollah has to know that it will be annihilated if it tries to go on the offensive now.

EDIT: The Israeli defense minister has stated that Israel intends to topple the Hamas government in the strip. The only way this is is happening is a full scale ground invasion and re-occupation. I would not be surprised to see if voices on the right call for reestablishment of some of the settlements dismantled in 2005, and while I don't think that will happen, the chance is not entirely negligible.

I don't know how accurate it is, but israel aligned twitter accounts are claiming that the taliban is stepping up:

View attachment 5393567
While that would be funny.
A. Those accounts are very brain dead.
B. The Taliban online presence is known for trying to be hip and saying stupid shit.
C. The Taliban are opposed to Iran which Hamas is supported by.
D. Saying is a lot easier than doing and that part of the world is known for talking shit.

If it does pop off, there is nothing western individuals can do about it, short of signing up for combat yourself. If you cant mentally handle bad news, get off the internet, my friend. There is ALWAYS doomy news, and pocket wars, and ethnic cleansing--just dont weigh yourself down about things you cannot possibly change.

All land is stolen, it doesn't naturally belong to anybody. Palestine failed, so they have no legitimacy to hold that land, it's not a matter of "it being stolen", because the land belongs to whoever can keep it. And I am no Jew sympathizer, but that's the reality of things.
also, if you take this ~stolen land~ meme to its logical conclusion, you go down the history rabbit hole and it looks something like this
>jews were given the land by brits
>brits took the land from turks
>turks took the land from muslim caliphates
>muslim caliphates took the land from christian byzantines
>christian byzantines were previously pagan romans
>pagan romans took the land from ancient israelites
and the closest thing to ancient israelites that exists today is.... jews. so at the end of the day, you still end up with the conclusion that it is jewish territory.
