2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Reminder, Less then 48 hours have gone by.
Next week, we will see Israel response in force.
I am hoping for cluster and naplam.
If they were just going to carpet bomb the bitch I'd guess that it would've already began. Maybe the targeted bombing is for AA weapon caches though. We're in serious "Who fucking knows" territory, but I'd guess we'll get less than a total extermination and more than Muricans can normally stomach an ally doing.

I've been seeing people like Mia Khalifa honestly defending the Palestinians going around being assholes, so I'm not sure this would really change much about people's attitudes about Israel. There's a lot of people that think if you're 'oppressed' then you can engage in any act of brutality you feel like and still be the victim. There's also a lot of those pro-Russia accounts like Syrian girl talking of how the Palestinians dindu nuffin and they be good boys.

So while Israel will feel fine doing a counter offensive, the PR situation for both sides will probably be unchanged. Israel may even get demonized in the long run for wanting to kill some kidnappers and rapists.

I have to disagree. As others pointed out earlier, America and the EU are the reason why Israel doesn't commit war crimes even though Israel knows Hamas are an existential threat to them. At its core, the two-state solution just isn't a solution. Palestine has no interest in building an economy despite the natural advantage of bordering on the Mediterranean, so these attacks just keep happening. Taking the Gaza Strip over is the only permanent solution to their security problems.
I mean, Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen for very specific reasons, so I wouldn't put it past them, but once I understood how much damage was actually done I understood it didn't make a sense as the angle, you let a tragedy happen with the intent of using it as political capital to do something you want and you intend that the tragedy, though emotionally charged, it's not really that painful in a way that actually hurts you as a whole. But the damage is huge, god knows how long getting those crops back will take even assuming they can be regrown and if they just wanted an excuse to have carte blanche to destroy sand niggers, seems like at a minimum it "got out of hand".

So yeah, heads will roll and I expect them to roll for real, not just some guys getting sacked for this.
Losing the Pacific Fleet was far more than what FDR was expecting. He was hoping for a Gulf of Tonkin situation where a few of his ships got shot at all the way on the other side of the world. He was lucky his America was built by Henry Ford and Andrew Carnegie, so rebuilding was feasible. If we lost one aircraft strike group today, it's just gone for ten years.

Or train people to use motorized paragliders without someone noticing.
Ahem wasn't there some talks back when the Russians were training "PARATROOPS" and people assumed it was for Ukraine? That and Chechens have been MIA for last 6 months, I think we might see the biggest Sunni and Shia force against Israel since the Crusades...

I just find it surprising since Mossad has always seemed like the most competent of the glow in the darks, but guess even they can fuck up hard.
Couple of factors there. First of them is that no matter how good an intelligence agency is, they only have so much manpower. They get tons of hints and clues, then have to pick what's relevant or not. Mistakes get made.

Secondly, terrorist groups are pretty good at hiding their communications and limiting who knows anything. The leadership of some of them are pretty intelligent, or at least cunning, even if the typical guys going out aren't.

Finally, and this is just me speculating, I suspect that institutional arrogance played a role. Like you said, they're one of the best, and they know it. That can lead to some dangerous overconfidence and false assumptions. Whatever the truth is, I'm sure we'll have some very interesting books about it in a decade or three.

By then, it will be too late. Israel has shown it can bleed, and bleed quite a lot might I add. That's all that matters, now their opposition knows that they can be ambushed and overwhelmed at any time, with great results.
The only way a parasitic non-nation like Israel gets to exist is by the means of absolute control and spreading fear. They lost means over both the last 48 hours

I've been seeing people like Mia Khalifa
Fun fact: there was a male pornstar that refused to fuck Khalifa again because she smelled worse than any other whore he had fucked

Expect to see dozens of hostages used as shields in a way that will turn your stomach. This isn't going to be the "bomb them to hell" campaign Israel wants. They have children, women, men, elderly and soldiers and they will be used to the fullest and most disgusting extent possible.

Hamas has launched an end-game move and Israel will have to kill their own people to now destroy Hamas. I can't help but feel beyond the hostage situation that Hamas did not play a one-trick pony on this, and has a follow up step in the process.

If the point was just hostages to negotiate, then Hamas will call off hostilities shortly and bargain with the hostages they have. If there is a further step of aggression, I am not sure what it could possibly be.

But in this case, once you look into the details, the infrastructure cost is obscene.
It’s not that hard. Life is not a game of Crusader Kings, and the people that for some reason might want a war could be completely uninterested in the agricultural side of running a nation.

If anyone is interested in watching live footage of Gaza, you can go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKRdFSjJq2A. They also post news on chat like announcements from politicians, reports of imminent attacks (with the "unconfirmed" label if it's just rumors).

Usually re-streams stuff from Reuters but you got 4 different livestreams in 1, chat is moderated but they only ban retards. Been watching minor explosions and some buildings being leveled. The only downside of watching it right now is that it's almost 7PM and it's already night there.

Yeah they are using the human shields as a way to say Israel commits war crimes, same as Egyptian Medical Force entered Gaza as humanitarian relief and if bombed would also constitute a war crime. Hamas and etc are literally gay op'ing Israel into a dare you to do it while CNN and etc are LIVE. Sure do the rapes make them look bad? YEAH. But carpet bomb 100 Israeli Toddlers in cages, see what gets Grandma upset. LOL

and most of the NATO borders are protected by THADs and Patriots which can stop Israeli missiles.
I wonder how much the MIC spent to convince most americans that a credible missile defense system exists. Most NATO countries don't have a single patriot battery let alone THAD, both of which have failed in tons of tests.
Couldn't they just flatten all the infrastructure (especially hospitals, fields and water treatment) ramp up the blockade, and wait for famine and disease to do the job?
Yes, just bomb Gaza into dust killing >10,000s and displacing >2mil. There are no knock on effects that could possibly happen.
This is from Edward Snowden, who is known for being the whistleblower regarding American National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance back in 2013.
