2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

This may honestly be a watershed moment. This is the biggest attack Israel has seen in decades. A huge number of its people are now seeing the Islamic terrorism of their fathers and grandfathers laid out before them for the first time.

Any sort of actual restraint will be a small miracle. Huge numbers of their citizens are dropping the coexist kumbaya mantra and are advocating for full blown genocide in Gaza as retaliation. It's a pretty big change in just 24 hours.

Nevermind that the state of Israel has been going through a lot of inner turmoil with its judicial and executive branches the last few years. A major tactical response is basically mana from heaven to the local politicians to get heat off their asses.

If the reports of surronding countries mobalizing are true, this could pop off to be one of the biggest happenings in a generation.
I saw someone say the scale of the 600+ Israeli deaths in the last 24 hours, relative to their population, is like 7x 9/11s death toll.

I think what it means in practical terms is the likelihood of your average Israeli knowing someone who was killed or injured in the last day goes way higher. That's going to propel sentiment towards the war for quite a long time.

Just like 9/11 who wins the end. The intelligence department will say they didn't have the resources, and get huge amounts of new funding. And the military companies will get new cash injections to supply both sides.

A good deal for them for only a few hundred dead. You just have to broadcast all the footage to get everyone on side. For both sides.

A compilation of Hamas clips shows how the terror group invaded southern Israel yesterday. First they bombed Israeli observation towers and weapons systems on the border, then fired hundreds of rockets as terrorists on paragliders flew over the border. Moments later, Hamas approached the border fence, blew up holes in it, and allowed hundreds of terrorists to infiltrate into Israel.
The coordination of the attack is nuts. The execution was on point. Those are remote control machine guns and surveillance towers. I have no doubt they have been learning from all the Russo-Ukraine footage thats all over X and Telegram.

I would guess Hamas as an extensive tunnel network and accumulated tons of ammunition and weapons.
Oh they do and this is a thing Israel has been bitching about for years. One of the vids Hamas released of hostages looks like it was filmed in a tunnel. What will be interesting is seeing how many quadcopters they have stocked up.

There are also signs of much bigger things happening behind the scenes. Multiple Muslim nations release statements saying that Palestine must return to its 1967 borders, chief of the Arab League is in Moscow right now, Ali Khamenei says Israel is dying a few days before the attack, Egypt doing some glowing shit, ect.

Yeah this is a lot different than the attacks in the past, they got their shit together that is for sure.

I doubt that. The geo political situation is completely different. For one Saudi Arabia and Iran really hate each other and are currently involved in a proxy war. Jordan and Egypt on the other hand have thrown their lot in with the West and Egypt right now didn't even pretend to give a fuck about the bombing of gaza and was just like "hamas pick up phone maybe make deal". This could change if the current military dictatorship is overthrown and the muslim brotherhood returns, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

So that leaves a broken Syria, Palestine and Iran. Not really that scary of a conventional threat but enough for a longer headache.
Yes leaders in SA and the others have business interests with the west now but that doesn't matter much compared to the multi-generational hate a large chunk of their populations have for Israel. I think things would quickly change politically in the Arab world if Israel does the needful and kills the 2 million muslims in the gaza strip. Because, if Israel really wants to come up with the final solution to this problem that is what has to be done. Just bombing an already bombed out city and killing a few 100 Palestinians wont do anything or make them any less hated.

That's the point. I can pretend that the 'we can't stop the flow of weapons coming in' is real but not knowing nor being prepared smells fishy. This seems somewhat organized with a purpose and a plan.

Israel doesn't monitor it's highly contested borders with top of the art surveillance ? It doesn't monitor the calls and e-mails from the Palestinian leadership ? They have the resources and technology to do this easily.
Israel is a developed nation but even it's going through problems. Netenyahu has been trying to wage control as his critics hate his corruption. He's also in a catch 22 as the Orthodox wing want to basics clense the land of any palastinians and non Jews and create le Jewish ethno-state. Those are just his critics on the right wing.

When it comes to the Israeli left they hate Bibi with a passion and initially wanted to try and absorb the Golan heights and Gaza though legitimate means. However that's becoming moot as every day people are victims of palastinians who never getting over the corruption of Hezbollah and Hamas who desire to rid all Jews out of Israel and the world if possible.

Is it true that they massacred 200 people at a techno festival? Completely retarded. You can make fun of them having a concert just over the border from Gaza, but they were probably sympathetic to palestinians before they all got gunned down
I have no idea, but it would just add to the senseless tragedy to be quite honest. Hamas and Hezbollahs strategy has been kill Jews and if you're not killing Jews you're making a plot to gain more money, influence of power to kill Jews. Like these guy's make the Nazis seem kosher. Also seeing this event it's got Irans hands all over it.

Evil people say things to make themselves look good, but they keep their evil plans a secret.
