2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Compilation of all NATO members reactions to the invasion, nothing unexpected in my opinion with the exception of Luxembourg since it was recently called the most antisemitic EU country at the UN (video archive at the end). Feel free to point out any incorrect or broken links.

Regardless of someone's opinion on Israel/Palestine, it's insane that people are justifying or excusing the rape and murder of civilians.

Can you imagine watching Poland be invaded by Nazi Germany in real time, and seeing people make excuses for Dirlewanger Brigade?
Because there is nothing new under the Sun.
George Orwell-Inside the Whale c. 1940 said:
But notice the phrase ‘necessary murder’. It could only be written by a person to whom murder is at most a word. Personally I would not speak so lightly of murder. It so happens that I have seen the bodies of numbers of murdered men — I don't mean killed in battle, I mean murdered. Therefore I have some conception of what murder means — the terror, the hatred, the howling relatives, the post-mortems, the blood, the smells. To me, murder is something to be avoided. So it is to any ordinary person. Mr Auden's brand of amoralism is only possible, if you are the kind of person who is always somewhere else when the trigger is pulled. So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot. The warmongering to which the English intelligentsia gave themselves up in the period 1935-9 was largely based on a sense of personal immunity.

Israeli military claims to have captured Muhammad Abu Gali, who is a second in command of Gaza's Navy Southern Division. They claim that "suspect is currently being interrogated".
Any ideas on what progressive methods of humane torture are being used on the guy as we Sneed here?
The worst there is: Cringey Tiktok videos.

German government suspended all payments to the Palestinian authorities. source (German, it's pretty far down in the article)

Germany is one of the larger funders with around 130 million € per year. This is a big deal politically since Germany historically never suspended foreign aid

Edit: (somewhat off topic speculation on my part): earlier today the government was just reviewing whether they should stop payments but this evening the governmental parties lost two state elections with the right gaining significantly. This could be them abandoning an obviously loosing position quickly.

I don't think that the US is realistically going to let Israel ever get eradicated by its neighbors, so I propose the funniest realistic future of the Gaza being glassed into near uninhabitability.

The levels of seething from annoying progressives at the "downtrodden opressed group of literal sand niggers rising up against their meanie opressors" being turned into dust literally and metaphorically would be quite entertaining.

Israel itself won't allow it to be eradicated either, at least not without turning every one of their neighbors into radioactive shitholes. After Israel obtained their own nukes they had Operation Samson prepared in the event that Jerusalem appears to be lost.

26 And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.

27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

28 And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

Israel it's self admits they had no idea this attack was happening. Assuming they are telling the truth and didn't straight up 9/11 it. Then that leaves 2 realistic possabilities.

1. Hamas planned this entirely on their own entirely within their own network. This would leave very limited chance of opsec breakdown since it is muslims telling other loyal muslims face to face.

2. It is so well planned that it involved discussion with other anti-Israel faction such as Lebanon, Egypt, Iran, and Iraq. If this is the case it means their opsec has simply been upgraded with encrypted comms and things are going to only get messier.

I tend to lean towards the first option, I'd say they told guys in Hezbollah and handlers in Iran and others that something was going to happen but gave little to no specifics because once word spreads too much it makes it much easier for Israel to figure out what's happening. Something this big would need to be super tight lipped, like the guys using the hang gliders; the training was kept lowkey and of course hitting Israeli defenses when they were poorly manned during the holidays. Though it does awe me quite a lot that the Jews would still let their guard down during holidays after Yom-Kippur.

Was that the aim maybe? The last year or so has been the only criticism of the Israeli government I’ve ever seen in the mainstream press

Similar scenes in London. Why anyone thinks that these people won’t genocide the natives the minute they’re a sufficient minority I don’t know. Every single one of them should be deported
They do what they can already. Look at Rotherham.

Hmm I wonder why the Skins support Israel?

Nevermind.

gaza's navy? what navy?
Apparently one that tried to land via boats to the north-east of Gaza Strip yesterday. With varied degrees of success.
There have been both videos of boats getting blown up and successful landings, but at this point the forces Hamas has managed to get to Israeli territory via boats are tied up in sporadic firefights in and around Ashkelon, where the above mentioned commander was probably captured.

It seems to me that Israel won’t/can’t do for each hostage what they did for Shalit (release 1000+ hardened megaterrorists), it makes more sense to extract a greater toll militarily than to do so. What do you think?
I think a lot of elite operational units will storm hamas bases to return as many hostages as possible, I think the war will last at least a month (more likely 3+) a lot of hostages are going to die and I hope we arent stupid enough to negotiate, the loss of human life will be bare but it needs to happen cause its at the point of no return

I am trying to be empathetic but its likely that most hostages will die and 7/10 will be a remembrance day (we have this for the holocaust and for KIAs already) for this specific event, but our elite units are top notch I only really do put U.S delta force and Seals and the french Naval marines above Shayetet, Matkal and Shaldag.

Maybe we should have built the wall and stopped the millions who crossed over the border unchecked.
Can confirm Toronto is pretty bad. While it's a holiday tomorrow I've asked my wife not to head to work until things settle. Her work has given her the go ahead to stay home.
