I do not consider myself to be a fan. I watch him on a sporadic, intermittent basis. Sometimes, even most of the time, his shows are utterly uninteresting. Other times though he offers very astute, interesting, and also entertaining commentary. His stream on the oceansgate fiasco was great, although that is somewhat low hanging fruit. At one point he had a line "wireless connections are for women and children doing unimportant things. I don't even use wireless when playing a game. You think I am going to put MY LIFE on the line for this."
Some of his film and cultural analysis is also interesting. The commentary he did with Poz Button on American History X was really great.
I have always took him as a very bizarre, zany individual, and a lot of times I appreciate that. I think for someone to break away from conventional wisdom you have to be a little crazy. He does have some or even a lot of unsavory characteristics though.

It’s a given he’s not caring for his two small children with all the time he has to spend streaming his important opinions, and sleeping till noon, but that lifestyle does point to his mom either subsidizing him, he’s living in her home or he’s a consummate welfare leech.
