I'd assume he's one of the more popular people in the whole MRE scene so people are always trying to curry his favor. Does he even have any enemies? Would anyone be fool enough to take out an anti-Steve stance?Obviously something made for elite pilots where only ~20,000 units are made per year isn't something you're gonna find at an army surplus store, but I wonder what kind of strings Steve had to pull or "I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy" kinda deal he had to go through to get those.
I'll note he didn't eat those potatoes. The main looks fine to me as does the rest of it. Also, I think I've talked about those big square crackers and peanut butter. I love those things. Little weird not to include any other drinks though.NGL, the main doesn't look THAT bad, but those mashed potatoes are...questionable.
Edit: madlad posted ANOTHER video:
We had the surplus company in the other town that sold everything from used combat boots to food for absolutely nothing. The old Swedish army formula for instant chocolate only needed water(hot, cold, doesn't matter) and it is still my favorite instant chocolate. In my mind! Haven't had it in a long time. A crate of those packets could be bought extremely cheaply. When I was a kid I had relatives who would always bring around these MREs and some of them at least had components that were good. Those giant square crackers were great with the packets of peanut butter they had. They totally stuck to the top of your mouth but were delicious.
We surely are blessed with Steve this month. I really liked his explanation of the content of the ration and all the cool gadgets that came with it
Steve just uploaded a remarkably well preserved 1993 MRE
The first spoon instrumental in this one was outstanding--the little flourish at the end!Steve just uploaded a remarkably well preserved 1993 MRE
I understand the intended application, but it's still funny how much this ration looks like a giant version of the snacks you'd pack to take a little kid on a day trip.Another Steve doubleheader.
I haven't smoked in MANY years.Imagine being out in the field and just having a packet of coffee and a mini-pack of Camel cigarettes. There are definitely worse things.
