its interesting because i noticed someone discussing the supposed antisemitism of a palestinian west bank leader and one of the big proofs was just him describing a reason hitler hates the jews, note the objection wasnt that hitlers grievances were incorrect its just that if you frame racial hatred as being founded on actual or perceived slights it puts those grievances up for some sort of debate instead of just declaring that theyre not even actually held. to a lot of people racial hatred really is just this sort of possession and anyone showing even benign signs that really aren't even morally objectionable but has been thrown under that general umbrella ala sins in fire and brimstone christianity are under the influence of an obvious objective evil.

not framing conflicts as "the person is racist because theyre bad and literally no other reason not even erroneous ones" is seen as akin to denying the holocaust happened.

Fatah may rule there, but it is not very popular, with polled support for Hamas skyrocketing every time they give Israel a black eye, while support for Abbas languishes at very low rates. In March of this year, Abbas had a 17% approval rating in the West Bank (not including Gaza). In the West Bank, Hamas was polling at 28% while Fatah was polling at 38%. Seeing as the popularity of Hamas soars whenever they carry out attacks on Israel, it's crazy to say that the West Bank categorically hates them or that the P.A. is in any way representative of the sentiments of West Bank Palestinians, especially since 52% of Palestinians think that the dissolution of the P.A. would be in their interest, and 57% think that its continued existence serves Israel's interests.

I would have much more respect for Israelis if they fully embraced the 'might is right' mentality that ultimately undergirds their entire country's existence. If you take a bunch of land over which was previously inhabited, fine. That's history, people have been doing it for thousands of years.
