I'm American but I recall Israeli conscripts in the early 2010s needing to have a loaded gun with them at all time, on or off duty. Not sure if they relaxed that policy, which is fucking stupid if that's the case seeing those the guys slotted were at the areas egregiously seized from their orginal owners (more so than the rest of Israel that is).
