2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Heavy Israel i bombing hits Jabalia camp in Gaza. Scary visuals. While the world is silent

Rocket impact reported in Ashdod after heavy rocket barrage from Gaza

Israel or Hamas throws bombs at one side, the other throws bombs back. I know it's not to uncommon for rockets to come out of Gaza and hit Israeli settlements or positions but one has to wonder just how large the Hamas reserves are. On top of that it's not like the things they are firing are super advanced so they can't be hard to make.

Israeli defense minister calling for TPD: "I have ordered a complete siege on Gaza. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly."
This is why I disagree with people here saying Israel is over because they can't afford to have mass slaughter streamed on the internet. Governments don't come out and say this sort of thing if they are worried about what some trannies are going to say online. It's Total Palestinian Death, and I'd be surprised if it ends with Gaza.

Called it. This won't be like the US going into Fallujah. This going to be Assad senior But probably worse. The gloves have come off. The consequences will never be the same again. Etc.
That's what you need good old barrel artillery for. You can put it on a hill within view of the city so everyone can see it and then you start shelling and there is nothing they can do about it. Way cheaper than airstrikes although you might catch some drones these days.

I once read a wise man describing Israeli society as “brittle”. I do wonder just how long Israel can keep this all up.
As long there is enough money and resources to keep maintaining iron dome defense system if shits the fan US boots will land in Gaza if Hamas musters up troops to fight.

Israel prefers to pancake everything with bombs and white phosphorus munitions if they find area suspect. They've been doing that when PLO was a thing with Arafat at the helm

So, there have been first reports on what captured Hamas soldiers have to say about this whole shitshow and apparently they've been "preparing this operation for over a year", "were shocked that Israel was caught completely by surprise, considering it's 50 year anniversary of Yom Kippur War" and "made Jewish intelligence apparatus believe that all recent Hamas rhetoric is just performative and they really only want money".

Let me get this straight, Palestinians decided that Jews will definitely believe that their goals are purely monetary, because, duh, Jews, and it actually fucking worked.

We live in a clown world, ladies and gentlemen.

Hamas dun goofed when they attacked that rave. Not even hardcore libs or the most self-hating jews can make up explanations for that. That's also the reason why I think no islamic country will fully support the Palestinians openly regardless of what Israel is going to throw at them.

Maybe they didn't even plan to massacre them and it escalated at some point but now Hamas is basically seen as ISIS. And those optics are too bad even for Iran to handle.

They also murdered like 10 nepalesi farm workers on some of the farms. What possible excuse can they have for that one? They clearly don't look jewish.
They showed their true face (well they did that before but this time for real caught in 4k) to the world and now it's hard to come up with any cope to defend them.

Damn Australia, I know it's tough to watch, but you seem to be taking this personally somehow...

Sky News Australia is pretty based, you can see every presenter is trying desperately not to scream the gamer word on a good day.

UK Sky News used to be a bit like that (more right of centre than GB News even) but their presenters pretend to be liberals to stop Hope Not Hate complaining to their advertisers.

I’m not infallible but I can’t see the USA committing ground troops to this. Airstrikes for days, plenty of weapons and all the SIGINT the Israelis could ever want. US soldiers coming back dead I just don’t see happening, especially when the US still has to play nice with the Gulf despotisms and the upcoming election(s?).

To my original point/musing. I had always taken the Turcopolier’s comment on brittleness to relate to the cohesiveness of Israeli society under continuous war pressure. As we are seeing this war is very different to the usual story of Israel stoping around Gaza with no consequences.

Oh good. A humanitarian crisis.

Israel is fucked. Say they manage to drive Hamas out of the gaza strip without alienating the world via livestreamed atrocities. Great. Now they get to spend a sizeable portion of their GDP and IDF lives maintaining a full occupation of 3 million people to prevent a recurrence.

Hate to say it, but this is why a complete TGD without enough time for livestreams is probably their best option.

Edit: Looks like they're already fucked.
No way the Jews could ever handle a banking crisis of all things.
