2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

It blows my mind how much aid money Palestine was getting, IE any at all. Like it was almost invariably funneled entirely to Hamas the entire time. When we send our gibbs to Israel I'm under no illusion that it's going to the IDF first and anything else second.

Maybe we should stop paying countries for existing (or in Palestine's case, not existing)

Imagine how great everyone in first world countries could be living if we weren't sending billions of dollars of "aid" to random 3rd world hellholes every year (aka funneling money into the pockets of the people who staff NGOs and the rich elites in random 3rd world hellholes)

What are you talking about? Israel could flatten Gaza in two weeks, massacre the inhabitants, and salt the earth. Genghiz Khan would know what to do, and so would Cato the Elder. But people today have all gone soft.
That's not going to do anything strategic but kill civilians and piss off the sidelined Muslims into retaliation. My understanding is hamas has such an elaborate underground Vietnam tunnel system they'd have to nuke the place to even hit it.

Besides bombing the city in the distance isn't gonna magically stop all the guys next to you from attacking. I don't care what they say they don't have the front stabilized. they've still got goat fuckers in uniform running around and killing people. It's terrible optics to shoot down skyscrapers with people in them. Even more so because hamas confirmed they stuck hostages in there so the shells would kill them in a sick set of irony. Forget about concert and be more concerned with how the Arab world views this all.

Hamas has played everything perfectly from a tactical, and symbolic perspective. For example they maximized confusion by setint up fake checkpoints and shooting anybody that gets near. This leads to civilians running real checkpoints and getting shot by friendlies. The ground war is a massive clusterfuck that has not been helped by a lack of supplies thanks to the krain war. I've heard they gave away as much as 80 percent of their artillery to the Ukrainians

Ironically this may take some heat off that conflict a little bit, don't ask me why but Russia is incredibly tight with Israel. This whole event might make stange bedfellows
So Hezbollah proper is still sitting on a fence and watching the conflict unfold? Smart, what can I say.
Also, thanks for keeping these updates going.
If they stay out of this then Israel can recover, but if they and everyone else launches simultaneous attacks then things get glassy

Here's the main thing America needs to do

Nothing

This is not our fight and if we dragged in the middle east is going to launch a jihad on our ass the likes of which we've never seen. Iran is baiting us and Israel into a quagmire and rash actions are going to get everyone knee deep in quicksand.

Hamas aren't covered by the Geneva Convention, they're not uniformed combatants, they're plain clothes insurgents. Technically I think the IDF could just execute them on sight they don't even have to take them prisoner.
International humanitarian laws for conflict, both by treaty and under customary international law, apply to Palestine, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict(s), and Hamas. There are different aspects of the Conventions that apply depending on whether a conflict is considered international or non-international (discussed in the second citation, but also referred to in the first), but there is no doubt that international law of war applies to Hamas.

As an example of actual international humanitarian law accountability, heres the 2009 UN report finding both sides had committed war crimes in the Gaza conflict that started in December 2008. Hamas/Gaza authorities participated in the fact-finding (as did the PA), reacted to it and ultimately endorsed it.

It’s 574 pages so here’s the wiki on the report for an overview: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Fact_Finding_Mission_on_the_Gaza_Conflict

Last, an opinion piece very strongly pro-Israel, but lays out the basic case/international law applicability : https://www.jurist.org/commentary/2023/10/hamas-terror-attacks-and-international-law/#_ftn11

I’ve always thought international aid keeps perpetuating problems. If Hamas had to focus on feeding their people and fixing roads rather than the piecemeal social welfare they offer that relies on western do-gooders filling in the gaps. They’d be less popular if everyone was starving whilst they were learning how to fly hand gliders.

The pounding of Gaza has really picked up in the last ~12 hours

I think the ground invasion is gonna be a habbening by Thursday at the latest
From all the bombing they’ve done in Gaza, how are they even going to be able to get armored vehicles through the rubble? There’s fires everywhere and it’s pretty obvious Israel is just trying to up the kill count rather than using precision targeting. An urban environment with an extensive tunnel network with traps and planned ambushes is a horrible situation. Especially when there’s rubble everywhere they can hide in. Youre sending a bunch of young kids with no combat experience into an urban environment with thousands of people pissed off at them for destroying their homes and invading their land.

Its shocking sometimes seeing the amount of money that gets funneled into these its to the point that youre better off giving that money to the homeless person near you over some rando international organisation where its used to buy coke and underage hookers.

Would they stay out? If they got ideological motivations, Israel's handful of Samson Boom magic isn't going to end the whole arab world, but they can end Israel.

Rationally you would stay out. I am not sure either of the 3 sides is fully rational right now.

I mean, I don't care, either way Europe will eat a ton of rapefugees, I just want to caution about thinking all actors in this war are old timey bri'ish gentlemen rationally playing chess over tea and crumpets.

Seeing all the muzzies celebrating in public, fully aware they're taking advantage of their host country's freedoms and timid citizens made me keenly aware how successfully they've parasitized so much of the civilized world. I'm so fucking sick of them, but I'm even more sickened by the weak morons that keep bending over backwards to appeal to THEIR values, instead of forcing them to integrate to ours.
Same here. Pisses me off when a bunch of reasonably well to do or rich Arab Muslims go and march and cry about how evil the USA is while if they tried that shit in actual Gaza they'd get their shit stomped in by Hamas thugs.

Especially the uppity hijabis. They're known as "Hoe-jabis" in certain US Muslim communities for a reason.... all pious in public but absolute degenerate whores in private (until the video messages and photos leak after the inevitable breakup)
Well, it looks like the Sand Niggers have brought their shit to CdA / Spokane.

Decided to have Korean tofu with a friend of mine in the area, then hit up the range after.

What do I find there? Two fucking Sand Niggers drawing the Star of David (and other shit) on range supplied targets, the ones with the ranges name on them.

As I walking by their stall, I overheard mutters of Allah Ackbar between shots. The RSO noticed before me and told them to stop, as well as confiscate the targets with their messages / drawings. They decided they wanted to try and grab the message laden targets from the RSO's hand.

Well, needless to say the RSO put his hand on his holstered pistol.

As for me? As a long time member as well as other reasons, I can shoot from holster. I could already sense the shit hitting the fan so I had switched to my hollow points.

The night ended with the RSO and I escorting the Sand Niggers out of the range and to their car.
There was a pro Palestine march on Kirkland as well. They got mixed up with a pro Israel march and lulz were had.

Sad to see that shit in Spokane too
