I ETS'd back in the oughts, so I'm not so much concerned that I'll be drafted. They probably wouldn't bring back the draft, anyway. And it's easy to say that people shouldn't fight in the war, but for a lot of people in rural and middle America, they don't have much choice unless they want to live around meth heads without any reasonable way to get out. I'm tired of seeing white Americans die in the middle east for Jews. I don't think that's a controversial opinion. I see this as another way for that to happen.
Jesse's toughest job was as a Guitar Center employee working on commission. Whe he was bloviating and cheering on the Iraqi invasion, something he still somewhat has sympathies for and has even argued with Mike for days on this, he was behind the counter, trying to sell guitar amps. He absolutely could've joined the military and fought for the war he was cheering on but of course I'm sure he had a good reason not to go. Like being a pussy.
