2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

This is fucking wild...

Scroll to the timestamp at 05:25:30 (the time in the middle of the screen, not the youtube player timestamp).

After a few seconds, you will see a flash of light in the top right corner cam, whilst the cam on the bottom left cuts at the exact same time. They bombed the fucking camera! That or a shockwave took it out.

You can also hear something just before the 3rd cam cuts.

Reminds me of protestors standing in roads. If your only defense is your opponent being nice, maybe don't take that action.
A very good analogy really. Urban Warfare is only tough on the attacker if the attacker doesn't want to run you over.

The Mongols really were the best at Urban Warfare. When they came upon a city, they would always ask that city very politely to surrender and pay tribute. If they didn't they would burn it to the ground, kill every man, woman and child, but for a few who they would then send to the next city in the path of their advance. Upon arriving at the new city they would then ask politely for that city to surrender and pay tribute.

So basically, the same tactic the Russians did with Grozney.

I'm kind of conflicted about how effective that would be.
The problem with mindless and his literally mindless fanfiction is there is always the possibility other Muslim countries would step in to prevent the Palestinian slaughter, and then so would other Western nations on Israel's side and that's how you get WW3.

If you want someone to blame, blame the Democrats and RINOs destroying US hegemony by having a meltdown over Trump stopping their grand plans who decided to rig an election to put their degenerate potato puppet in place and overlook his degenerate family grifting then sealing it with the lamest "insurrection" narrative seen in the history of the world, following up with countless blunders thereafter. I can guarantee had we a strong President and an equally strong cabinet the last four years this would not be happening.

With great power comes great responsibility; unfortunately, the senile boomers running the USA are not responsible for even wiping their own wrinkly asses, so the affairs of state are left to whoever can wrestle power from various factions.

What do you think their strategic goals are?
I don't think there are any, beyond hurting Israel. They've killed a lot of fucking people, and who knows how many more have managed to move deeper in - They won't win anything, but Israel is facing the risk of a Hamas fighter just popping up like a pokemon outta the tall grass at any civilian gathering, purely for the terrorism of it. And even if they decide to push Gaza into the sea with unrelenting artillery fire, Israel will still suffer heavy losses advancing through the blocks - You'd be surprised how many fighters can remain combat effective under constant shelling hiding among literal rubble. There's no situation in which Israel loses short of Iran deciding to jump into the game, which isn't happening.

And for the folks thinking this'll turn into WW3, it won't. The only possible way it could get anywhere close to that would be if Hamas has a nuclear device, detonates it, and then provides clear, irrefutable evidence that it came from Iran. Which if they had such a device, we'd know, because its a far more powerful as a bargaining chip than as a weapon. Without something at that sort of Tom Clancy level, Hamas is fundamentally a really well funded Insurgency - Their objectives and goals are local, they lack the means to decisively win against their opposition either via arms or political power, and they are unable to effectively threaten any of the major world superpowers.

Edit: To expand on the political power side - None of the major muslim powers are interested or capable of prosecuting a war against Israel with the exception of Iran, and none of the powers like Iran enough to team up and support it in this right now, not even as an "enemy of my enemy" type deal, because anything Iran gets involved in will immediately have US involvement, and none of them are able to survive even mildly pissing the US off. And Iran isn't particularly interested in saving the Gaza strip, just using it as a tool to destabilize the region.

It's almost as if being unarmed while living close to your enemies is a one-way ticket to getting riddled with bullets.

Imagine if the Israeli populace had been armed. The past few days would've played out very differently.

The government couldn't save them due to incompetence at best (, or they willingly let Hamas' incursion happen at worst).

If there's one lesson to take away from this, it's that you are ultimately responsible for your own defense.
There was a story from this whole crisis about a woman named Rachel Edri, who got held hostage for a while by 5 militants. She ended up offering cookies to them and while they were snacking Israeli commandos came in to shoot them dead.

It's one of those stories though, where you have to wonder how things would have gone if regular Israelis just had guns around rather than having to hope and pray some commandos would come in to save them. Like instead of messing around getting them food she could have shot them in the face.

Who exactly is going to step in and with what Armies?

There's basically no other muslim countries in the region that can do anything. Israel is a nuclear power and any incursion into Israeli territory is going to result in summary glassmaking.

It's mind-blowing how people act like this is the first major conflict between Israel and Arabs.
Most of the time it's Petty slapfights. Have you seen what's happened? Hundreds of civilians dead and full on siege warfare. That's a pretty fucking big escalation. This all happened in less than a week too.

Someone's on the roof adjusting camera 2 on the livestream atm
edit: doesn't seem to be any talking
Why's camera 4 still showing nighttime?

edit 2: nevermind, it's AP feed apparently so it's probably being adjusted remotely
Camera 2 best feed
Camera 1 needs to turn off night vision

TBF why would Israel even need to go into Gaza in the first place? There's nothing strategic there aside from the existence of Hamas, and that can be mostly taken care of by making the worlds largest parking lot since '45.
Strategic bombing may not break the fighting spirit, but it can certainly remove the spirited people one way or another when you no longer give a shit.

I think its the first time that many are now seeing a fight in real-time between a colonizer and the arabs. Its why there's so many far-left weirdos cheering on Palestine in NYC, which is ironic, because Hamas would gladly throw them off a roof.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support either side. I believe in a zero-state solution.

If you failed geography in school I am afraid I can't help you.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a Muslim country, or are you unaware how WWI and WWII began?

An angry Serb and later a coalition of pasta, sauerkraut and edamame enjoyers triggered those, now looks like its the falafel and gefilte fish connoisseurs turn.

That was the camera that caught the close strike a building over early today. I wonder if they'll go for all the cameras, suppose they'll have to if they make good on their promise of reducing the strip to rubble.
