Israel doesn't have a unlimited political capital to just level all of Gaza. Israel kill a bunch of Hamas and civilians and the dead bodies will eventually be too much for the west to ignore. And then back to the status quo before this happened. I give it a week at most if they land invade. I just don't see how the west with large Muslim pops will allow unlimited slaughter, the political cost is too high.

They threw whatever goodwill they had when they indiscriminately massacred foreign civilians at that festival. That put other countries in an impossible position to defend them, even the normally neutral-ish ones. Gaza will get razed and may put up a decent urban fight but Im anxious of what other Arab counties might to do to take advantage of the situation.

While it's always possible the other Arab countries might intervene, I don't think that's the case with a US carrier group sitting right on top of Israel. Countries like Egypt and Lebanon and Syria don't have hate boners as hard as Palestinians. Basically, any signatory to the Abrahamic Accords is going to be neutral so as not to get sucked into a war where they aren't certain they can decisively take out Israel+US Air and Navy support. If Iran is behind it, they aren't going to fly to rescue an over-extended pawn when they aren't in position to do so.

4) China - pro-Israel, one of the most in pro-Israel countries in the world. also hates muslims.
5) India - "fuck Muslims"
6) Japan - pro-nobody, would prefer to stay out of it

That's basically every extra-regional power that could conceivably do something. And none of them have a reason to support Palestine other than maybe raising token complaints at the UN.

Who else would get involved in support of a Muslim Insurgency? Do you think the Italians are going to pull the big face reveal and land on the Gaza strip with Mecha Mussolini? The only countries in the region are either overwhelmingly muslim like Turkey, or straight up Theocracies in all but name.

I understand its a tense situation and its easy to see it escalate but do give some thought to who would get involved and what their motivations might be.

Everyone forgets the Palestinians got displaced in the first place because the surrounding arab tribes hated them, and were pointing and laughing at them getting murked and humiliated in battle by das juden. Most of the time it's Petty slapfights. Have you seen what's happened? Hundreds of civilians dead and full on siege warfare. That's a pretty fucking big escalation.

Israel got invaded literally the day before it officially came into existence via UN mandate by the entire Arab world. It was preceded two days prior by a massacre of 127 Jews. Thousands of civilians died. There was basically civil war in what was the western half of British Mandate Palestine from the announcement of the UN partition plan in 1947 until the 1949 armistice giving Israel (more or less) it's current borders because Israel pushed all the Arabs so far out. Tensions have always been high. There were multiple "wars" after that.

EDIT: And that's not including Hamas stuff like the Second Intifada which also killed hundreds of civilians. This isn't new.
