I still wonder if that was a planned attack or just happenstance. If that festival had promotion it's possible they planned to start the attack there expecting it to just be poorly armed security and local police, wanting to inflict a high initial death toll. The way they quickly spread out and started seizing control of the streets makes me think they intended to hit the outdoor concert first so they could score at least a couple hundred casualties, I'm not entirely convinced it was just a case of terrorists raining from the sky and going on a rape binge on pure bestial instinct.

No one saw this attack coming, no one expected Hamas to put up such an effective fight, why would they be able to anticipate the response from foreign countries? Hamas are clearly receiving help from some foreign third parties, most likely those who sensed Israeli weakness internally and militarily, who knows what kind of coordination is going on behind the scenes?

I have spent my whole life studiously avoiding listening to any public radio, but isn't this more about NPR's format than their politics? I was under the impression that NPR's purpose was to provide calming, long-form documentaries for old people to listen to before they die, rather than 24/7 news.

Sure they have news updates, but it probably takes them at least 12 hours or so to get shit together, it's not like their half-dead listeners are going to care if it's not up to the minute.

No. They would have those programs, but also have current news programs and breakings news alerts. Had a BBC radio hour rebroadcast every day. They used to have no problem cutting away from whatever gay self indulgent human interest program they were airing to broadcast breaking news.

For example I remember driving to work and they instantly cutoff whatever they were airing to reveal the scoop that Osama bin Laden was fucking dead. I got to work and told everyone what I'd just heard, and nobody had heard about it yet. This was 2011, when smartphones and internet news were already a thing. Nobody at work heard yet though, me listening to NPR AM radio on my way to work resulted in me walking through my companies door and relaying to everyone that the biggest news story in the world has just gone down.

NPR has always held a libtard bias, but you used to be able to catch happenings pretty quick thru them.

Somehow in current year you can listen to hours of NPR, without a single mention of BREAKING NEWS A DEADLY AND POSSIBLY GEOPOLITICALLY MASSIVE EVENT HAS JUST OCCURRED.
