Way to aim high, MovieBlob - a shitty mini-series no one liked from almost 15 years ago that Marvel pretty much washed their hands of by omitting it from canon and cancelling the trade paperback collection. Certainly that is emblematic of Marvel and not just some outlier, because Bob would never use low-hanging fruit to prop up a strawman. Nope. Not our Bob!

You just know that this is based on a real thing, why would anyone make a comic about this sort of thing. It's not funny, is not deep, just petty and depressing.

That comic I'll be honest gives me mixed feelings, I get people grow up want to make amends some just forget they even were jerks others see X and want to add them because reasons.
It's the smugness that ruins the pity.
I do get in ways, ya we haven't talked in 20 years but last time I saw you you were kinda a dick. Sure you were 8 but, aside that if you were the same person who picked on me no reason to be in touch, if you weren't you're a stranger. Now I'm sure Dobson isn't an active alum so really at that point it's same as a stranger off the street, assuming he could drop a grudge.
He acts like he's some victor by not allowing you in his life, really he's doing you a big favor you don't have to see a man who's life story is summed up with "what could have been"

He's actually admitted that most of the things in that comic actually never happened, and that played up most of the things that did happen so they'd be more interesting. From Dobson's own account of what happened, the guy did like to mess with him but in an obviously lighthearted kind of way. Like he'd pester him over his drawings and stuff like that, but the biggest reason Dobs hates him is because he eventually ended up dating the girl he had a crush on but never talked to. The kid was more or less just a friendly rival, and Dobson despises him for remarkably petty reasons and still holds on to this grudge to this fucking day. This is really all you need to hear to know what kind of person he is, he's a hateful little shit with no sense of humor who took a bit of friendly banter as a heinous insult and still hates somebody he hasn't seen in almost 20 years because they decided to be a man and talk to a girl that he liked but never made any attempt to talk to.
TL;DR: Dobson is, has always been, and always will be an insufferable childish asshole.
