I never really understood this one. Why am I supposed to want to compete with my own daughter for hotness points when they’re literally 18-35 years your junior? I can see why moids like it cause it pits women against one another but I don’t see how it benefits a woman or her offspring to play into this.

I have seen this play out. One of the biggest shocks to me when I became a mum was that there are parents who love their kids and will sacrifice anything for their well being, and there are parents who are low functioning and love them but just can’t cope (leads to neglect) , but there are also a whole spectrum of parents who hate their kids and abuse them. Not just physically but emotionally.
I was aware of the ‘dad knocks me around’ stuff from school friends, but what I saw when I started having to interact with other parents shocked me.
Men tend be be physically and sexually abusive in an overt way (although this is also becoming sneakier with the Troon stuff.) but women destroy people.
I have seen women who hate men emasculate their sons. This usually starts with the ‘gender disappointment’ stuff. Seriously go into your nearest parent board and search for it. They want a girl mini me to dress up. These mothers are the ones with the trooned out boys, very often.
But I’ve also seen the awful dynamic where the girl is really pretty and the father may or may not be creeping and the mothers response is to destroy the girl. I’ve seen this a lot more with stepmothers (I have stepmother tales that would turn your hair grey.) I have seen one where the mother bagged and encouraged the girl (who has waist length, blonde, gorgeous hair) to get it all cut off, I’ve seen women tell slim girls they’re fat (and they weren’t.) seen women react with disgust to tomboy daughters.
It’s very disturbing to see. I suspect that women turn a lot of their disgust with themselves onto their daughters, and the cycle perpetuates.
Fathers aren’t exempt - there’s plenty of abuse from that side too. I’m just closer to the women’s group stuff and that has made me horrified too often

Exactly. I think they're imagining something like high school gym class. They probably never even tried going to a real gym to see what it was like. Half the people there are nerds of some degree also and will just ignore you unless you're doing something really dangerous. Ask to work in, ask for a spot, ask for some tips. When I was new, I learned so much from older lifters. These people need to remember that "don't talk to strangers" only applies when you're a child.

Did you read what I wrote? The dynamic is that the father is / may be abusing physically and the reaction of the mother is not to kick the abusive father out of the home and get the police involved but to be jealous and destroy the daughter.
Both are abusing the child, in completely different ways, one of which seems to be socially acceptable these days.

Despite their reputation in 80s and 90s media, I find people at gyms to generally be friendly and helpful. There's definitely some fucking creepy men there, as always, and retarded manlet toughguys who probably own shitbulls, but most seem okay and willing to help a fatty or lanklet out.

I am starting to notice this the pattern of online pick-mes and conservative ones who
really want to push this idea of "Women shouldn't be voting and have their own finances" and want to force women down into submissive positions where they have to rely on men, that 99% of the times are well off and have their own businesses or well developed careers.

Let's say, hypothetically, their ambitions come true, they manage to force down every woman to be tied to a man and be forced to rely on him, do they really think that by some ass pull they're going to be an exception to that rule and be allowed to have their own finances and rights? Because they're not going to be, their finances most likely would be transferred to their husbands or other male authorial figure.
