I think it's because there's nothing official to go off of at this point. Sure, he looks like a sleazeball murderer to us (and to anyone with common sense), but as far as non-defamatory facts go, this is still a simple missing person case.

I think the media coverage is going to hitch on what the police investigation uncovers.

If they fumble this and he walks away without any charges, then there won't be any media coverage at all, because "random French Canadian woman missing" isn't newsworthy.

If he gets charged with murder, if he goes to trial, if the prosecutors share details and photos of what a search warrant uncovered in his house, if his police interrogations get released...then it's going to warrant at least a CBC article, likely several articles in various papers (headline: White Supremacist Podcaster Charged With Murder!), and it will definitely proliferate around the True Crime Youtube & podcast circuit.

We're going to have to wait and see with the Canuck piggies dig up.

JFG fans will say that we are too "normie" and we don't have the high IQ to understand that if you are a genius you don't have to live under societal standards and that the only reason we think his words and actions are psychotic is because it's beyond our intelligence. It's normal to say you want to kill your partner if you are too smart for stereotypes. Even if he is convicted of murder his paypigs will probably say that this is the perfect end goal of free will and liberty so he is innocent.

If she is alive then either her or the people around her are still not aware that she is a missing person, or she or the people around her do not care enough to let the authorities know she is okay. Each day that passes I don't see how that is possible without her being a secret agent, in some compound, or really living in the woods swinging along on vines like Jill of the Jungle.
