Then Hamas completely chimps out massacres over a thousand civilians, films everything and has it spread globally. Now he is dealing with a massive war on his door and there's little chance he can mediate anything.

All at a time where Egypt already has economic issues and a potential water dispute turning war with Ethiopia. I just hope the Egyptian government doesn't collapse.

Imo purely political move to point towards "see we would have provided humanitarian aid but they killed all the hostages". Because if Egypt maintains their stance the next weeks will be very ugly for Gaza. Not that it is undeserved, but suffering is suffering.

Edit: In other news, the German government banned one pro Palestinian organisation (the guys that celebrated the attacks in Berlin) and also put a so called "Betätigungsverbot" on Hamas (note they were already banned as a terror Organisation, but this new action means, they can also seize assets that aren't formally belonging to the organisation but act in support of them. Plus any infraction is automatically a criminal offence.)

German defence minister stated that Germany will support Israel with 2 drones of the type Heron TP (surveillance drone that can be armed). These drones have been leased from Israel a couple of years ago. It's unclear from the phrasing whether they will be operated by German personell (German soldiers train in Israel on them)

He also announced that Israel asked Germany to deliver more ammunition for their Navy vessels (a lot of the IDF Navy ships are German built.)

The CCP has said the one statement I agree with them on, it's none of their business and they don't care enough to meddle. The two-state solution is just diplomatic fence sitting on their part and it makes sense; it is far outside their sphere of influence and they need to work with a lot of other Muslim nations for their Belt and Road initiative. They aren't responsible for Palestinian issues and if they feel anything at all, it's like watching a riot on the news in another state.

How will Hollywood react to the left and non-whites being so pro-HAMAS and Palestine down the line? Would a two state solution have prevented this conflict?

In a vacuum, that requires the two states to not want to fight each other and potentially establish trade relations. Once Hamas got elected permanently, that solution died because part of their charter is the destruction of Israel as a nation-state. It went beyond normal sovereignty issues like building economies or defense to killing the Jew and Jew adjacent. Since they went about it like Bronze Age Sea People, that compromise is off the table.
