Obviously I have no idea if you're right or wrong, and I am very much open to your theory, but I personally don't think it has anything to do with a personal health issue. In my opinion, I believe he would use some kind of tragic health issue as an opportunity to beg for money.

That being said, I can absolutely see the possibility of Nick hiding a diagnosis of something like MS because he's concerned it would impact his (self-perceived) image as an intelligent and well spoken internet lawyerman, I just think that scenario is less likely than something more mundane.

It’s almost as if alcoholism is a progressive affliction that only gets worse if untreated. Nick is the kind of guy who could get multiple DUIs and he’d still keep driving drunk just because the law told him not to. His daddy issues are extreme.

My parents weren’t regular drinkers but every time they did, it was disturbing (to myself and my siblings) to see the visible loss of control manifesting itself in the two people who were in charge of our well-being. They’d always insist they weren’t drunk but whether you call it drunkenness or “just” feeling chemically-induced insouciance, that shit is obvious to children. My kids have never seen me inebriated and it’s one of the easiest things I’ve ever done to avoid upsetting them. When I try to put myself in the mindset of Nick Rekieta, who gets wasted around his kids on a regular basis, I just can’t relate to being okay with such a state of affairs. And that’s before we get into him staying up until 6AM downing shots and then driving carpool 90 minutes later.

Well, I obviously didn't write the damn thing, but I always interpreted it as her being a good conservative woman who bore him a litter of children who she then puts above everything else. In ye old days, Kayla wasn't really seen much. He had her on his show once, and she seemed alright. She was considered the good mother who took care of the children off screen while Nick was streaming.

Now people here have noted she's watching Star Trek all day, taking lude pictures of herself, going to Jamaican sex resorts during black bull week, and they have a nanny that seems to do most of the work (and who also takes ludes). Then, when the kids have to go somewhere, Nick has to drive them and we hear him bitch about it.

Remember, the Rekietas were once perceived as a good conservative family. Or, as Null once put it, Nick's popularity on the Farms was attributable to the fact they had a "white pilling" effect on people. People wanted to believe there were people out there like that that and the could be part of the online sphere.

Conversely, their downfall is attributable to the fact they're actually blue pilled as all fuck. I find that in general people are often overly complimentary to a content creators spouse. Find a youtube channel where someone brings their husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend in for a video and the comments are almost always flattering, even if the interaction they have is short and completely mundane. You'd think these people know them personally with how sycophantic they are from a 30 second interaction in an edited video.

I just assume it's a way for people to get a dopamine rush by having other people respond/agree with them; or best case scenario they get attention from the content creator, moving their para-social relationship to the next level in their mind. In the case of the song it's probably the same thing, compliment Nicks wife for extra good boy points and attention.

It's not just letting her husband work, it is the suggestion that she is supportive of his career and keeps a well run house so that there are not needless niggles and distractions that her husband has to deal with.

Not all housewives manage to do the above well.

This is of course far from the truth, but the song was written when a lot less was known about Our Wife and the Rekieta household.

He has claimed that 4 of the 5 do 3 Music classes, Science, History, and Fine Arts. Assuming that they are in at least 2 groupings for the classes seperated by age/interest, that is 12 different appointments to make during the week.

Depending on how far they are apart, it does not sound more stressful in travel than my university lectures and revisions, but for all we know, they could be ferrying them one at a time to classes instead of making the sinnings tag along and wait an hour before being taken to their nearby activity.

I do not get the sense that people in their household are forced to do too much of anything they do not feel like doing.

Well said. It reminds me a lot of Diana from the Opie & Anthony show. Her alcoholism was first clear as day back in 2001 and despite warnings, she drank her life into ruination because it was such a slow burn. She wound up institutionalized due to an alcohol related psychotic break in 2015. The difference between her and Nick Rekieta is that at least Diana tried Alcoholic's Anonymous once. There's no way he's going to start an AA program, let alone complete it.

Her poison was Natty Ice too, not any hard liquor. I'd imagine those whiskeys are going to take a quicker toll than some beers.

This has been my mild hold-up with the various "Nick is dying" theories. As good as they all sound, circumstantially, it makes no sense that the "king/pope of grifting" would hide it rather than use it to make as much as possible from the paypigs while he was still alive. Plus he would have whipped it out as soon as people were turning on him en masse to try and reel them back before it was too late. If it came out now I don't think it'd tip the scales for anyone into coming back to his show.
