Based on the details we heard from our own Kiwi friend here some pages ago about a set of parents shot and then a baby's throat slit, I think we have an answer as to why "beheaded babies" has been going back and forth.

Yeah I’m the one who posted about the Cohen family who lost the father (to gunshots) and infant (to throat slitting) in Kibbutz Beeri. Wanted to add that the blurred photo of the dead infant that Israel posted on Twitter kind of looks like it was the result of throat cutting as well. If not that then a gun shot to head or neck, because it looks like that’s where all the blood was coming from. I think you’re right that while there could’ve been actual beheadings, it seems more likely to be a miscommunication due to several instances of gruesome throat cuttings. it’s pretty common that when somebody’s throat is cut, the media and police say “they were nearly beheaded” because that’s what the scene resembles due to the blood loss and the location of the wounds. I remember hearing the same thing a lot about Nicole Simpson’s crime scene.

The dead baby situation is a complete nonstarter from an actual discourse standpoint. Your options are:

0. No babies were killed
1. Babies were killed, unintentionally/passively
2. Babies were killed, intentionally/actively
3. Hamas was indiscriminately throwing Israeli babies into a woodchipper

The truth is likely a mix between 1 and 2, and how you choose to frame the issue is just a matter of what issues you prioritize.

The reason people are talking about her at such length is because she's the person that Hamas decided to parade around like a war trophy, literally bringing it back to Gaza for other people to spit on. When they did that, they made her the poster-child of the entire conflict. It's not going away, that photo of Hamas pointing at her corpse while giving a screaming soyjack face like they just won the Super Bowl perfectly encapsulates how Palestinians are: a bunch of retarded cavemen patting themselves on the back for slaughtering women and children. What an accomplishment.

I'm genuinely shocked there are still IDF members with self control to not just shoot Hamas scum in the face when injured. They're non-uniformed combatants so it's not a problem by international law.
