The only way I can see this is post (and the position of those who make statements/posts like it) is either “pro Samson Option because all enemies of the west are wiped out” or “pro Palestine because one Western enemy has been taken out, and now all that’s left is to take out the other one because hatred is mutual and they’re always ready to fight to the death.”

why are there so many foreigners?

because japan is the cool hip destination for anyone with affluence. it is seen as the cool beautiful magical place to live and work. this is 100x more true if the person is an anime fan. as soon as people watch anime it seems to flip a trigger and they immediately want to travel to the country. personally i dont get it. sure japan looks fine, but there isnt anything special about it to make me want to live there.

For me, the ones that I think will haunt me forever will be that woman getting kidnapped on the back of a motorcycle as she reaches crying for her husband who's being marched to his death, and that father crying while talking about how he's glad his little girl got shot instead of being kidnapped because it was better than the alternative. And I think also that little Palestinian baby that the man was playing with in the ruins of Gaza. For some of the people who are on here, maybe it's this German woman. The footage of her in the back of that van was incredibly shocking. We don't always know what's going to massively ring home, and maybe for them it was that footage combined with her social media posts back when she was alive and dancing, and then compounded by her mother going on TV while in denial about the reality of her death.

And for some people trying to learn everything about her, or making edgelord comments or off colour jokes is how they process that, even though they don't necessarily know why they're doing it... although perhaps this is too generous, there's definitely some people in this thread who just want to see corpse tits or something.

It's just appalling. To think that giving condolences or calling an atrocity an atrocity is now tantamount to simping. That accusation really just says more about the person making it than anyone else and is peak coombrain in itself, that they have to coddle their own sickness by calling other people sick for feeling bad that a person is dead.
