Think of the optics in Western cities (particularly Europe). Large group of rabidly angry people chanting "kill the Jews" and shooting incendiaries at the Israeli embassy/Jewish counterprotesters/Police? Far too reminiscent of the Holocaust, which random person in the street recognises as a Very Bad Thing. The Jews meanwhile have largely been having peaceful vigils and have not been going into Arab neighbourhoods to laugh at Arabs.

Also Jews don't generally read as "foreign hoards" while Arabs absolutely do, so there's that on top.
