Something I’ve always been interested by, though, is that American sci fi authors from the 50s through the 70s had a fascination with Muslims. Robert Heinlein, Larry Niven and Jeff Pournelle, off the top of my head, had characters in their stories that were Muslims and firmly on team good guy.

It’s not proof of anything, but that’s the main tidbit that makes me think maybe there WAS a chance for the scenario to play out that the Islamic world would moderate. But then again, the Quran is like a time bomb, sitting there and waiting for discontented people to read the militaristic parts and re radicalize

There are two great media projects, a movie called "the Devil's Double" all about Uday, it's supposedly very accurate in it's portrayal .


The other was a series about Saddam up until the war that deposed him, once again these are supposedly very accurate.

They were terrible people, full disclosure the US backed Saddam till he turned on the US and then he was just another violent dictator worth no value to them. Dumb fucker really knew how to manipulate people and work his way to the top with threats and treachery but, like a lot of arabs, was under the impression the military in his country was 100X tougher than they actually were.

Speaking of that, is there any evidence they’re using the metric shit ton of military equipment we just left there to do any of this? If someone finds out that’s true, Biden’s going to have a hilarious election campaign.

The biggest pile of nothing burgers since Jan 6. If you discount backwater Islamic shitholes like France, I doubt the bodycount will even be as high as Jan 6. Modern Muslims would rather succumb to the wiles and wares of the great Satan than wage holy Jihad in the name of Allah.
