Regarding Goldbelly, it's actually more than just baked goods. Because I have a good relationship with my family, they've sent me some stuff via Goldbelly over the past few years (around final exams, birthday, a holiday, randomly if my mom's feeling nice). Yes, I've gotten luxurious cookies and cupcakes (no pies) that would make me fat if I were an opioid addict. But I've also gotten deli products (some really good butters, fancy cold cuts, bread, etc. all in one package) and an whiskey package (a couple of nice glasses, woodford reserve bourbon, and a couple of other related items). Most recently, for a certain J*wish holiday involving apples and honey, I was sent apple strudel.
So while LowTax may have liked the luxury pie and cookie items, there's actually a lot more interesting stuff you can get through it. Yes, the first time I got the box I was thinking "Isn't this what LowTax would pig out on? Am I gonna end up shooting myself if I eat all this food?" But as a recipient who has not (yet) killed myself, I would highly recommend trying it out if you have a family member or friend not in your immediate area and want to send them a nice gift.
