Fuck Hamas, but this is false. The "peace festival" part wasn't a thing until after the attack as far as I'm aware. It was to celebrate sukkot.

Some notes from the statements of the German foreign minister in Israel/Egypt:
- Hamas has 8 German [Edit: The phrasing was changed from "german citizens to "cases with relations to German citizenship; I am not quite sure what that means] hostages. She asked Hamas to release them since that would be "humane" (lol good luck).
- She also reiterated that Israel will get whatever they need, stressing that whatever means whatever.
-And unfortunately our favourite dead pick up rider makes a comeback. The German foreign minister also offered her support the family of Shani Louk. However she stated, that there have been no "concrete results" in her talks in Israel and Egypt. (She is dead we don't need to rehash it).

Hamas won't just surrender so the only hope they really have is that they can somehow not break under the initial Israeli attacking force in Gaza which will be difficult since the IDF seems to of put a lot of heavily armored and probably well armed units there.
They could also bet on international outrage forcing their enemy to make some kind of ceasefire with them on the basis that as the news cycle memory of the devastation on October 7 fades it will be replaced by a nearly constant stream of predictably dead Palestinian civilians which is guaranteed to happen when you have 2 million people in a war zone that is approximately 140 square miles in size and they don't or aren't allowed to leave.

I keep seeing people online really dramatically going off about the IDF “committing war crimes and breaking all the rules” and how somebody needs to “stop them and hold them accountable”. Maybe I’m a retard for this question but what the fuck do they want us to do? Like what’s the actual process for enforcing international rules of war?
I don’t think anyone can roll up to arrest them without just being pewpew’d into swiss cheese. American politicians aren’t gonna cut them off or condemn them when jews are responsible for like 38% of all their campaign donations and they aren’t going to lose all that financial support just to whiteknight for some terroristic fucktards who will never get them votes or money. As long as Israel has the strongest military in the region and the support of the US, their surrounding countries (unless they’re even more retarded than we thought) aren’t gonna do shit either because the Jews’ rage is (rightfully) at level red right now - they’re clearly willing to wipe you off the map if you start striking against them too. Nobody wants that smoke.
Outside of their fellow goatfuckers and some blue-haired leftist troons, the rest of the world hates these fuckers almost as much as the Jews do.
