Fallout series

So sources I wouldn't exactly rely on state that Fallout New Orleans is registered, but I have reasons to believe it may be a real thing given Sawyer's implied statements.

And yet there are these boring ass jerks who lack any imagination like I'd rather just go to New Orleans than play it in Fallout well did we need Nevada set in the apocalypse? It's mostly unincorporated towns and small ranches. Where were these people when they actually played Obsidian's "New Vegas"? The best Fallout in the 2000's to date? I look forward to the Louisiana-Arcadiana and New Orleans after a nuclear bombardment around the globe. According to past lore, flora has completely taken over a large percentage of the Gulf Commonwealth after a failed GECK test spawned parasitic life forms. I expect most buildings to be overgrown and held together with petrified vines.

Who doesn't want terrifying nature in a post-nuclear RPG?

The only real complaint I had about Fallout 4 was they charged so fucking much for the DLC (except for me because I only had to pay $15 for it because China steam is awesome) and only one so far could really be considered comparable to the awesome DLC we had for New Vegas and Skyrim. I think the last mission in Dawnguard took longer to complete than the entirety of Mechanist.

it's basically a Sims game through a Fallout lens.

Last time I checked, didn't the sims in sims do stuff besides stand around in a couple places and occasionally ask you to clear out some dungeon on the opposite side of the map?

I mean you can make nice houses, but the actual "settling" part is complete shit, unless there's finally mods that do something more than remove settlers' invincibility.

I like the New Orleans idea but I am sure it's fake. The person who registered the trademark paid nothing for it and your supposed to pay $1,000 dollars by a certain date. Most likely a troll. Based on a conversation in the Fallout Wikia.

So I'm playing through Fallout 4 and it's an unhealthy mix of bad and boring. The most enjoyment I got out of the game so far was going through Kellog's memories in a really horribly designed level, reading up on Vault 81, and doing brotherly things with the Brotherhood. Also this pretty much just happened to me and I thought it was kind of funny:

Jack Cabot: Ancient Aliens and shit dude aliens built the pyramids
Sole Survivor: Fuck your wacko theories dude
Curie: I wholeheartedly agree monsieur oui oui ohoho
*CURIE DISLIKES THIS*
Todd please get your shit together, I've seen crap like this happen 3 different times already

Does anyone actually like Settlement building? It's pretty boring to me and the resource gathering is beyond frustrating in my opinion. I used to ignore loot like Abraxo Cleaner, but now I feel compelled to pick up a ton of shit that no sane person would ever hoard so I can make a home for myself and not listen to the constant fucking bitching of those retard Minutemen who decided to move into the Vault Dweller's neighborhood and do nothing to make their own lives better.

Settlement building seemed fun at first until you find out you can't build this because you don't have enough cloth or gasoline or whatever resource it is. Worst part of settlement building was resource gathering. Now while it makes sense that you had to gather them, it's a bitch finding certain resources to the point you'd have to rely on merchants to get them, especially if it's resources that could go into improving weapons and armor.

It's not fun without unlocking the limit. Otherwise it's more cumbersome Minecraft.

I absolutly love building settlements. Spent loads of time making my own robot plantation/ IED/ Mac and Cheese factory at the old drive in.
Also, if an angry mob starts throwing bricks at Sony executive's cars, I'll probably be among them. This is getting fucking stupid now

Tall raider guy with eye patch from Nuka World confirmed for mirror world Preston Garvey faction leader. Apparently they're addressing criticism that you can't be evil by letting you join the raider faction and be a dick to people.

You can't be evil? Isn't the Institute essentially the evil faction of the game?

From a certain point of view. One could argue the Railroad is evil, in the sense they are giving machine's humanity, and are wasting resources to aid synths instead of undercutting the Institute.

The Brotherhood's leadership changed under very convenient circumstances, but the Lyonist idea was eventually purged when they reunited with the Outcasts. Now they operate like they did on the West, tech worshipers that behave more like vultures that will peck you clean of technology. Not to mention their hatred for creatures that may possibly carry humanity in the form of Gen II and III synths.
The Minutemen don't organiza any thing stronger than just a military with no government. The Institute destroyed attempts to make a coalition government. To some, the price of joining the Minutemen is conscription, going where ever ordered with whayever you have to fight any possible foe. And in return? The promise of protection from a group that has nobody higher to answer to.

My favorite part of New Vegas and 4 is the grey and grey morality.

I'm still uncertain why exactly the Minutemen replace people with identical robotic copies.
