Rape is notoriously difficult to prosecute because it's hard to definitely prove that a) it took place and b) that it was nonconsensual. This is even more true if the person getting raped has dementia. Lots of rapists are innocent according to the court of law. Doesn't mean they didn't rape.
To prove it conclusively, they would almost need a dementia diagnosis prior to the rape, because even if Barb is demented now (something not proven and she is apparently still at 14 BC living on her own with or without assistance), the defense could argue she wasn't then, and was entirely capable of consent.
That's why I hate rape cases so much. False rape allegations are a real thing, but some rapists get let off the hook because of a lack of proof.
I would generally assume malicious intent and or/self preservation on the part of people who pretend Chris is a woman. If you see a female name it‘s tricky to consistently call that person he as you speak, but if you have time to sit and write out a post and still choose to go along with the lie it just makes you look foolish, imo.
