What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

Any YouTuber who goes full SJW or whatever you call the anti woke crowd I avoid like the plague. It's frustrating how often I find those losers getting recommended to me. What I would like is more recommends for channels who avoid the political bullshit in my feed.

This is exactly what happened to Nerdcubed and I'm inclined to believe it's partially what killed his channel, whether or not his viewers agreed with him or not [I didn't but that's besides the point] they weren't there to hear about politics or the pressing social issues of our day, they were there to watch someone fuck about in a video game. Well, that and the repetitive fucking channel "reboots" where he'd totally rebrand and change all of his logos, kill his old series and start new ones for little to no reason. Or the massive spergouts that he and his more ardent viewers [parasocial relationship shit] and his jannies/helpers would have on Reddit at the slightest criticism. I was going back through some of that shit last night and found some real insanity, but it's probably not terribly interesting to anyone who isn't familiar with the guy unless you just enjoy epic spergouts, so I'll spoiler it.

Spoiler: Nerdcubed Reddit Spergout

This spergout was presumably one of the jannies on his sub, AKA someone who was parasocially fellating him via TCP/IP in response to some pretty overall mild criticism. This kind of shit was quite common on his board back in the day.
Additionally, the board and his channel are both dead, and even when he was still uploading despite having close to 3M subscribers [and decreasing] he was getting maybe 25-30K views per video. As far as I can tell some people are still paying on his Patreon but not near as many as before.

Oh yeah, I think I talked about Marc Mues [of Mues Productions] at one point in either this thread or another one, not sure if anyone else is familiar with him at this point. He used to do album reviews and occasionally videos about other shit, typically involving music but not always. Anyway he ended up getting hitched to a fat dangerhair with problem glasses and a bunch of shit tattoos that make her look like a truckstop bathroom stall someone took a marker to. As a result he did the ever-so-common political switcharoo over pussy and it's only gotten worse from there. Last I knew he looked like a cancer patient [totally bald and extremely skinny] and was posting pictures of his bulge on Twitter, but it appears it has gotten worse.

like i said, georg is starting to grate on me with how it's all about how chuds are this big grift that is infiltrating the mainstream as if this is a uniquely right-leaning thing. i have a similar problem with guys like ryan chapman who talk about robin deangelo and the like as a problem unique to lefty academia. it makes you look partisan as fuck and in rockall's case overcompensating for being an anti-sjw years ago and having a young girlfriend (or maybe it's his sister). the guy seems to be more and more generous to corporate shit like barbie or amazon's lotr because the chuds dont like it, when he used to shit on these movies for being high concept toy commercials. is making a parody of ben shapiro's barbie review more important than a video rail workers not getting sick pay, the cutting of medicaid or handouts to banks and energy companies while taxes are made higher for regular people, or to throw a bone to the right the country funding ukrainian nazis or the president's son being paid to smoke crack?

I guess I am annoyed more that like not the idea of covering it, but there's always a hypocrisy in partisans. where someone on the right wont want prager covered at all purely because theyre not as big as others, or leftoids will downplay a controversy as "a culture war topic" to say it should NEVER be covered, while insisting covering stuff like MLMs or giving a basketballer to Russia in exchange for a war criminal is actually awesome. there's never a balance. it's a false sense of justice, when really it's just another way of demonizing the other end. like even if you think these people are worth demonizing, why show you have zero principles for attacking grifters on your own side purely because you secretely like those ones or what they represent better? just be honest that rightoids/leftoids offend you more, but attack yourself at least some of the time iyam

But whatever the reason, he pivoted first into deep dives on reality TV star monsters (which were good), and now almost all of his videos seem to be about how bad right-wingers are. Which would be fine if he also covered, you know, something like "The Shameful Case of the DNC and Russiagate," which should be one of the biggest political scandals in American history... but no. He's using his platform now not to discuss movies (which is why I subbed in the first place) but to bitch about, essentially, how bad the party of Orange Man is. And he's a naturalized American which makes it even more annoying to hear him pontificate about American politics.

I'm sorry your movie was shit, Georg, but if you've decided you'll not be discussing film anymore, just say that so I can leave.

I watched one not too long ago, and they can't stop recommending them to me. Youtube's algorithm fucking sucks.

I hate this about YouTube. I'll watch one video from a channel (let's take, for example, a documentary about sex trafficking in San Diego, published by the local news channel). It's an hour long. I watch it.

Then, half of my recommendations are from a local TV station's youtube channel and I have to select "don't recommend this channel." I'll never know if they put out another documentary I may have liked because I'll never be recommended anything from them again.

The algorithm goes, "Oh, you watched a new channel? 50 to 75% of your recommendations will be from them until you do something about it."

It sucks and I think it's a way to cap the amount of money they're paying out to creators, since this makes it so that tens of thousands of channels won't get monetized even though they could have if YouTube didn't punish their new viewers just for viewing them.

Yeah I've gotten stuck in the algorithm too, I watched a couple Scotty Kilmer videos about cars/automotive shit [that's basically all he makes, videos bitching about cars with clickbait titles] and decided "this guy is full of shit and doesn't know what he's talking about" but because I watched two or three of his videos he is forever in my recommended feed.

YouTube's search function has gotten more and more useless over time as well, half the time when I search for something I get results that have dick-all to do with my search query and shit I've already watched. If you do a search for any kind of crime content all you get is thirty-five second clips from news stations that tell you absolutely nothing you didn't already know.

It seems like I watched one not too long ago, and they can't stop recommending them to me. Youtube's algorithm fucking sucks.

I haven't had the joy of getting locked into the auditor and sovcit loop but this about sums up my experience with magnet fishing videos. I watched a few one night and while it's a cool idea that looks like fun, combining metal detecting and fishing appeals to the retired man deep in my soul, after the initial "Oh cool this is a thing?" wears off it becomes pretty apparent that the point of a lot of them is to get the police in the thumbnail for views.

I don't have strong feelings about cops one way or the other but I can't help but share their frustration with these guys. I'd be pretty grumpy too if I had to show up multiple times to the same group of dumbshits who realized calling me out of my way to do a bunch of paperwork for some nigger's soggy old gun got them fame and fortune. And god forbid you ask them not to film you or suggest they find a different hobby, because they have RIGHTS and police confrontation makes a great thumbnail.

The bomb squad always seems happy to be called out, but at least for them getting to go out blow up PawPaw's old war souvenir grenade nobody knew what to do with is a good day. YouTubers sticking a camera in your face for your reaction to the evidence they had zero reason to trawl for like a bunch of shit-eating cats looking for pets after you step on a dead mouse would test the patience of a saint.

Angry foreigner was one of the first counter culture videos that were made on youtube from someone outside the US and bongland. he's a Serbian immigrant that moved to Sweden at a very early age and since 2014-15, has made critical videos on Swedish politics and immigration. it seems his about to give up making content beacuse of the lack of views, shadow-banning and the lack of donations. released a video today were he had a bit of a meltdown.

TLDR, regrets ever making video's, hates that his no longer making any money of it, call other content creators sellouts and threatening to DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING and DMCA anyone who tries to upload his videos.

I think added, "of science," "of research," and, "of scientific research." It was literally all the same videos as my first query, not a hint of anything having to do with science in sight.

Imagine Google image searching, "breast implants," and just getting photos of chickens and chicken breast fillets. Then trying, "breast implants on a woman," and, "breast implants on a human woman," and getting the same chicken breast fillet pictures. It's like that.

Again, I think they weight the algorithm in a certain way that allows them to not monetize tens of thousands of channels, saving them hundreds of millions of dollars.

Tabbed out while he was doing his sponsor read-off and half way through I had to tab back in because this nigga is unironically being sponsored by and shilling modern day SomethingAwful. "Yeah guys, your favorite old content came from SomethingAwful! It's still just as good as it was fifteen years ago promise just pay ten dollars and get banned immediately for speaking out of terms then pay ten more dollars and try again it's epic!" Like seriously Whang, come on.

Wow, that's incredibly cringe and gay of him. I unsubbed a while back because it seemed like the topics of his videos were becoming less interesting and more gross.
