Dylan James Mulvaney / Days of Girlhood / Day __ of Being a Girl - Dylan Explains It All, a gay man interprets 'girlhood' in all glorious technicolor.

ill always find it funny how some drag queens can make themselves look like women better than people like dylan despite having access to far more make up i would imagine dylan always ends up looking like a guy in a wig and makeup.

i dont know if its being done on purpose or if dylan is just an awful actor but i fully believe at this point that you could put him in the most realistic woman costume possible and he would still stick out because of how unnatural he always looks.
Back when I was into Drag Race, there was a contenstant on the show, Courtney Act, who was known for being “fishy” I.e. able to actual pull off looking like a natural woman. Really he just looked like an effete twink. He bragged about pulling guys and sleeping w them and them not realizing he was a man, again, they were probably just chasers, but anyway my point is I haven’t kept up with that shit obviously but the critique he and the other “fishy” queens often got was, you have to stop doing your makeup like you’re a regular woman, you need more than just a light coat of foundation, lipstick, and mascara, your stubble shows through. You need to cake on the illusion and contour. But guys like him (wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s trooned out, it happened with a lot of the other ones like Gia Gunn) and Dylan, they don’t want to do drag makeup, probably triggers them to know they don’t look female enough unless they cake it on. So they follow the same routines a real woman does but end up looking LESS feminine then the old school queens with the full beat.

I can't get over the fact this guy is 26 and looks like he does. He easily looks a decade older than he really is

After a quick search I learned that Peter Tatchell is a big-name fag in the UK, so the guy you replied to must be a Brit.
He's most known for being a pedo excuser and no one understands how he's invited to talks on TV when everyone knows that he excuses pedophila.

It's quite easy to find what he himself have said/written on the issue.

Wasn't that the guy that made Daisys Destruction wtf?
Sorry strike that that was Peter Scully.

Both pedophiles called Peter though.

I don’t normally believe conspiracy theories, but honestly, that newly-created Attitude award only further cements it in my mind that he’s an invention of corporate media to give them a token trans woman. “Dylan is an important figure! If she wasn’t, would she be getting this award? Only TERFS would point out that it’s a bit bloody weird that a TikToker is meeting the President and getting galas for nothing more than being trans on social media! Now buy his products, you fucking sheep!”

No wonder the poor bastard’s dying of anorexia. It must suck having to be Mx Clean 24/7 when all you want is to knock back MDMA and get topped behind the gay bar.

I don't think it's a complete invention - if you look at the previous winners of other awards,

Man of the year
2023 - none
2022 - Josh Cavallo
2021 - Billy Porter
2020 - Luke Evans
2019 - none
2018 - Edward Enninful
2017 - Nyle DiMarco
2016 - Wentworth Miller
2015 - Evan Davis
2014 - Tom Daley
2013 - John Grant
2012 - Charlie Condou

Woman of the year
2023 - Dylan Mulvaney

Person of the year
2019 - Sam Smith

From the looks of it, when they launched their awards in 2012 it was pretty much just a gay man awards thing, with people being picked based on their appeal to gay men (e.g. Marina and the Diamonds was the 2012 Attitude Music Award winner), and "Man Of The Year" just meant their favourite person or MVP or whatever. So when they pick people who aren't men for that year, they rename the award.

That's... maybe a bit more galling, though - the first ever "woman of the year" they picked was Dylan. Although maybe it's funny, because they've only ever crowned men, or men who insist on not being called men.

They're all gay guys whose primary contribution to the LGBT++ community has been coming out as gay guys except for the two queer gay guys, according to Wikipedia.

Most are English or have a UK entertainment connection, so that may be Dylan's breakthrough - being a queer Yank instead of being just a yanking queer.

Dylan was 100% hand picked by some mega corporation higher up to help push troon shit to the masses. People accuse lots of singers and musicians of being "industry plants" which is mostly bullshit but the sheer amount of astroturfing and positive press Dylan gets is not normal. Nothing about how he got big is natural. I refuse to believe someone as freakish and sickening as him got this big on his own.

I was actually thinking about this a little bit while scrolling around on IG the other day. 2010-2018 or so makeup was very heavy on the foundation and the contour, all that blinding iridescent highlight and baking your undereyes and cut crease eyeshadow and false lashes etc etc. All of those techniques which were made popular by the early-days YouTube makeup creators (notable among them Nikkie Tutorials - a troon himself) were much closer to drag makeup and borrowed a lot of the sculpting and highlighting and color correcting practices directly from drag queens.

Current year makeup is much more toned down with an emphasis on skincare and one's natural features. Most makeup tutorials online these days showcase routines and techniques that take maximum 20 minutes as opposed to the hours of before. Little concealer, little blush, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss and boom. Done. It's out of fashion to hide yourself behind spackle and completely re-design the shape of your face using clever shading and illusion. This puts troons at a distinct disadvantage. For people like Dylan who are supposed to be at the forefront of trends and in the public eye they have the option of either embracing the fashionable look or hiding their maleness. The two can't coexist, no matter how talented your makeup artist is. Thus we end up with Dylan looking like a half-painted wall that got rained on and is starting to melt - incomplete, pasty, uncomfortably moist, and creasing.

I won't go so far as to say that this new minimalist moment in makeup is a response to the sudden necessity of being able to clock men invading your space but also
