Cartoon Industry thread - Showcasing the Spergery of the Animation Industry

She's not racist or islamaphobic. She's once again being dogpiled cause it's her
I guess liking the Islamophobia tweet didn't do her any favors for side, but even with this little context it's pretty clear Tara is just saying the Hamas are doing fucked up shit and needs to be called out. Saying we shouldn't gun down women and children shouldn't be hot take for the left or anyone really and the fact that it is is fucking bizarre.

On the one hand, Tara isn’t exactly wrong in calling out people on her side for basically supporting terrorists and rapists.

On the other hand, this is the crowd she’s surrounded herself with and after sending others, who she doesn’t ideologically agree with mind you, to the guillotine, it’s finally been turned back on her.

You get what you fucking deserve, Tara.

I don't care about Tara, but I love how a troon (judging by the flag) is seemingly defending Islam from a Jew. The former faith would rather have a troon pushed off a building than play pretend with them. Furthermore, many Muzzies use troonism as conversion therapy, as they'd rather have their gay son say he's "trapped in a woman's body" than accept that he likes cock. In contrast with the Jews, especially those in America, who are the ones pushing the troon agenda and enabling troons in women spaces. But of course "white woman tears" are such an important point to note.

I'll never understand why people will fight tooth and nail people who would never piss on them if they were on fire. But hey, it's not my life.

EDIT: That same Twitter user claimed Infinity Train got "real" for having a "fascist cop" get murdered:

I like how the official Boxtown Twitter just resorts to copy-pasting some retweet of a guy pointing out Alex Hirsch is Jewish, as if that's actually helping their case. Is he a practicing Jew, or is he like Tara in that he'll pull the Jew card willy-nilly but will still not attend his local synagogue except for Hanukkah (at best)?

Simple: these people are under the belief that if they kiss up to certain groups, they hope their lives will be spared when said groups eventually come for their heads.

Let's be real here, if this person was face to face with a Hamas terrorist (and memes aside, there is a fundamental difference between an average practitioner of Islam and someone who follows Hamas), the person from Hamas would shoot them point blank in the face no matter how many "I support Islam! Down with Islamaphobia!" pleas they make.

This is the same kind of bullshit "we stand for diversity but not hatred" post that Limited Run made when they fired that chick for being conservative.

"We're only funded for one episode" Might stay that way if this circular firing squad keeps up
"We can't pitch our show to big networks and we can't fund more than one episode but we sure can waste money on hiring and firing big name celebs in the animation circle, and we can also throw away our all our 2D work for 3D!" What do you even call this type of scam?

no one in the industry sees nuance anymore
I think the biggest problem is that "animation/cartoon" and "anime" are both looked at as genres these days instead of mediums and that severely stifles the ability to create stories, characters, and settings within them since when you view these things as genres you lock yourself into a grocery list mindset where you need to go down the row and check off all the things you must include for this to qualify as "cartoon" or "anime".

Relevant Brad Bird quote from The Incredibles DVD commentary:

"It's not a genre! A Western is a genre! Animation is an art form, and it can do any genre. You know, it can do a detective film, a cowboy film, a horror film, an R-rated film or a kids' fairy tale. But it doesn't do one thing. And, next time I hear, 'What's it like working in the animation genre?' I'm going to punch that person!"
