I don't know a lot about the politics of the comic space but I'm assuming it's male-dominated and right-of-center.

There are plenty of "based" male Black commentators who aren't particularly SJW with huge followings to whom July could present these facts and blow Dax out of the water. In fact, doing so could be good for his comic sales.
