Even if that's true (I disagree, but I'm not unbiased about Doug and I'm not here to derail this thread just to defend him), the point is that him being around was the last time any of CG showed any signs of life. They were far more energized by having an enemy to fight than they ever were about making their gay comics. They need to have somebody to fight to justify their existence. Eric July's gonna be that guy next, that's all I'm saying.

I reluctantly agree.

I used to like like Doug, but his trad Christian front is as much bullshit as Rekieta's. I had serious reservations about him when he cozied up to Preston Poulter, but the fact he's hanging with Nick, Dick, Vito, Riley, and all the rest of them kinda cinches the deal. Moreover, I think his claim he was thrown out of CG over an anti-Christian bias is bullshit. I'm sure there was a power struggle over the reigns of CG, and Ethan wasn't at all innocent in it, but that seems like a narrative written by Doug to make himself out to be the victim.

That one stung too, because Doug might actually be a figure discussed on the Farms I've known about the longest. Long before the Farms, or my even being on the Internet. I used to love the Earthworm Jim games as a kid.

Most of the people in this sektur are scum. July has his issues too, but right now he has the benefit of being least shitty relative to everybody else.

Admittedly that's where my bias is as well. Been a fan of his art for as long as I can remember. I may be more disposed to give him the benefit of the doubt for that reason than EVS's side of the CG-schism.

This Balldawyer really tried to minimize the, let's say, "emotional impact" of tampering with the grave of a relative by implying that because "it's his great-grandfather", because "he died a 100 years ago" and because "did he even met him?" it's not that big of a deal.

He at least had the awareness to cut this train of thought short, but he really can't stop himself from trying to burn every bridge he can.

Edit: This just happened in his (October 16th/17th 2023 depending on the time zone) stream.

I won't go too deep into it since this isn't the thread for it, but Doug would have been content to leave relatively peacefully if WarCampaign didn't go apeshit over anyone not kissing the ring.
