Girls are "half of the world". As a man I can only see the world as a man. There's just no way I can see the world as a woman. So it is my wish to venture into that half of the world that I cannot reach. But I'll never be able to achieve that. It's impossible

He doesn't seem like agp or hsts at all, or he's at least contained his urges that it doesn't dominate his life. It seems like a curiosity that's almost a fixation but he recognizes that's it's impossible, and even if we went through a sex change it wouldn't be the same since he acknowledges that he would still be male. He doesn't want to see and lust after himself as a woman and says that doing that would make oneself further from a woman. He recognizes that women lead different lives (hence him saying "girls are half of the world") and he wants to see what's that like as he cannot truly understand how it is different for women as a man.

At best he wants to be able to fully experience the world in someone else's shoes and see how it would mold him to a different person, at worst he's being an incel, thinks that womens lives are easier, and wants a restart. And in the middle he's fetishizing how women live because it is unknown to him. Or he could just not be revealing his true feelings in this illustration
